This image came about in an awesome way for me. Two weeks earlier, the model, Margrit, was telling me a bit about her life. She’s lived and travelled in many countries and taken lots of opportunities. She has also achieved great success with her photography. Several weeks later, I had an unusual chance to photograph her in an old train – the perfect location to reflect her life’s journey. / In Australia, Margrit has achieved her LAPS and AAPS, and is the only West Australian women to received international photographic honours AFIAP. She’s a perfectionist and it shines through in her work. Visit Margrit’s website

Featured in Yellow Fever / (Thanks Everyone) Featured in Challenge Cafe for the Fairy Tales Challenge Contest / Airbrushed and mixed media Here is one of my newer pieces, it’s the WINNER of the Faerie World groups competition , “The Brothers Grimm”. Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for me and those that support my work! Excerpt from Grimm Brother’s, Cinderella Story “Now that no one else was at home, Cinderella went to her mother’s grave beneath the hazel tree, and cried out: Shake and quiver, little tree, / Throw gold and silver down to me. / Then the bird threw a gold and silver dress down to her, and slippers embroidered with silk and silver. She quickly put on the dress and went to the festival….read more This is my artistic depiction of the Grimm Brother’s Cinderella. I used artistic license to add the fairies to the tree, the flowers and her dress. I even created a special fairy showering Cinderella with magic creating her dress, her crown, the carriage and horses. The follow yp to my original Empty shot. This was an old disused carriage in Halifax used for education purposes, as you can see there are some school children at the back of the carriage. /

Another shot from the Steam Train Museum at Thirlmere in the Southern Highlands of NSW (Australia) ... I could not escape the ‘feel’ of the 1920’s, so I added an ethereal Flapper, some film grain, and effects to hopefully suggest a byegone era. Still feeling my way with these special effects so all constructive suggestions gratefully received!! Flapper Landscapes Trees Cards EOD Rusty Flowers Architecture Macro CatchAll DM / / / / / /

“Were I a philosopher, I should write a philosophy of toys, showing that nothing else in life need to be taken seriously, and that Christmas Day in the company of children is one of the few occasions on which men become entirely alive.” Robert Lynd (1892-1970), American sociologist.

Original photo taken in San Antonio de Areco, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Listen the song here / http://www.goear.com/listen.php?v=a690534 Same carriage, different work: /

Momma loves her baby / And daddy loves you too. / And the sea may look warm to you babe / And the sky may look blue / But ooooh Baby / Ooooh baby blue / Oooooh babe. If you should go skating / On the thin ice of modern life / Dragging behind you the silent reproach / Of a million tear-stained eyes / Don’t be surprised when a crack in the ice / Appears under your feet. / You slip out of your depth and out of your mind / With your fear flowing out behind you / As you claw the thin ice. Roger Waters from The Wall
