  • #243 Sunset From Scenic
    by MyInnereyeMike

    US$3.99–US$106.40

Taken on Scenic Drive. Carmel, California. November, 2007. There’s an interesting story behind this photograph, and #244, “Scenic & 8th. I was in a local camera store in Carmel, the manager of the store was telling me my camera was a toy because it wasn’t a high priced SLR, like he seels in the store. Obviously this annoyed me because i knew what my camera was capable of doing. So I left the store, walked down toward the beach, saw these Cypress trees, and took these shots in about five minutes. / I then walked back up to the camera store, and showed them to the manager, and the staff. They were impressed with the quality of the images. / I love my camera! I’m using the Panasonic Lumix FZ-50 That is what I used to take almost all the photographs in my portfolio. I’m satisfied with the performance of that camera. The images speak for themselves.

  • Carmel Market

    US$4.99–US$133.00

A vendor and a shopper at the Carmel market in Tel Aviv Israel. • #567 Garrapata
    by MyInnereyeMike

    US$3.99–US$106.40

This shot was taken at the Garrapata State Park in Big Sur, California. / This is a beautiful place to view, and photograph. It’s a particularly dangerous place. The loose terrain, and soft shoulder of the cliffs are dangerous enough, but the beautiful beaches are very inviting, and very deadly. / In this area, “rogue” waves” which are unpredictable large Tsunami type of waves often roll all the way up the beach, pulling whoever is on the beach into the water. The water is around 50 degrees F. Extremely cold. The strong tide makes it very difficult to escape, and get out of the water. Every year there are numerous drownings, especially tourists. I personally witnessed this happen to a couple of Japanese tourists back in 2001. The husband was able to escape, his wife drown on Garrapata beach. It was a horrible thing to witness.
