Again, another shot from Paso Robles – “Portrait of a Hot Rod Couple” – no that’s not Chris Isaak in the front seat…. however, I think he might have spent just as much time on his hair! The amount of beautifully painted machines around the couple is jaw dropping for me…. I’m defintely coming back here next year!

my sister at her wedding (23.6.07)… / To achieve the soft focus on this photo I add a guassian blur to one of the channels (can’t remember which one), changed to sepia and then added a ‘soft light’ blending layer also a little dodging and burning… v. simple!

This is a rather old image from the bottom of my big box of negatives that I’m slowly converting to digital files. I had been out on a fashion shoot and at the end of it I found I had 2 frames left. So on the way home with the model I stopped in at Graffitti Hall of Fame in Alexandria which is one of the inner city suburbs of Sydney. In this digital age its hard to imagine having faith in taking a good picture with only two goes at it but there you are! I got the model on to the roller and shot one from the front and with the very last frame shot this one. I hope you like it as much as I do. :) This is what it looks like framed

Acrylic On Canvas For those who may not be that familiar with Phoebe, she’s a patchwork bunny doll and the baby of the trio. She enjoys putting on all kinds of quirky caps and hats, she is never seen without them! Many many images edited in CS3…lots of detail so look closely…:)....the little girl is my youngest dressed up as Dorthy (she is a big fan :) )....this was a shared project with her…she chose the theme and where things would go and what was added…..she really enjoys watching me work in photoshop and many times lends her thoughts on my images…sometimes I listen….like her though sometimes I am stubborn and do it my way :) lol
