please watchlist me migaloomagic please watchlist me!! MY NEW RED BUBBLE GALLERY SHOP IS CALLED MIGALOOMAGIC….please don’t forget to WATCHLIST me over THERE / I’ve been busy with a new concept…. / I wanted to bring parents something special to help them connect with their children… / I am busy creating a series of digital wall art, especially for children…for their bedrooms. My new gallery on Red Bubble is called migaloomagic / So far, i only have one piece of art there….but I am excited to show you anyway!! This is a gallery which I hope will provide gifts for children, for their bedrooms, for their birthdays…...I hope that it will bring parents closer to their children by helping them remember to tell their children stories, you know – the old fashioned kind of stories….the ones you just make up on the spot….. When the kids say….’tell us a story mum/dad/aunty/uncle/guardian/carer” i hope that you as a parent will gain an inspirational thought or two, from glancing up on the wall and seeing these whales or some other little idea from my artwork…to help you along :D Hugs to all, / Karin :D

I just loved seeing the animals and their carers interact whilst on a recent holiday, the love they had for each other was evident and beautiful.

There are millions of carers in Australia – the odds are that you don’t know one but two or three. Some of us care for multiple people. Despite what the government or centrelink tell you, there’s precious little support for carers. And the more you care, the less you get. It’s time we all sent a strong message to the government – especially with election time coming. Carer’s matter and they matter to everyone. (There’s no markup on these t-shirts. I make nothing – zilch. Which, co-incidentally, is what we receive for the care we provide to four aged parents. Nothing.)

"_But I shouldn't complain_"....

Bob smssed me from Cap d’Agde. Arrived safely in the U.K.. Friends drove him to Chateau de Rodie. Then stayed with friends in Perpignan and then in Montpelier and is now going for a walk along the beach, at Cap d’Agde. Shall go to Bern, after two weeks in the sun and then, Zurich, before coming home, to Sydney. Gerda tells me, via Skype, that daughter, Netty, and friend, Monica, had a great time in Turkey and is now back in The Hague. Marion and Ruud are having a great time in Vienna, showing their Australian friend around, I see, via ‘whereareyounow’. Ton and Christa sent me pictures of their trip to Croatia and Peter, told me, at the Federation meeting, that this time he’s going to climb the Andes. ......... / I fed the cat. Put out my father’s medication. Checked to see if he’d eaten his cereal (He hadn’t.) and I had a cup of coffee. “But I shouldn’t complain,”says my father a thousand times, (Short-term memory is gone. 90, four days from now.) when he’s just complained about getting old. Never mind. My turn to go somewhere again will come!! (Is that a Qantas plane overhead?)

Brotherhood I / -2004 / by Becc Spiteri Originally inspired by a biblical image of two robed figures walking side-by-side and the well-known scripture in Ecclesiastes, the series of works entitled ‘Brotherhood’ explore the intricate beauty of true friendship. These works are, in essence a tribute to the beautiful souls who walk this journey alongside us, offering complete acceptance, unfaltering support and unconditional love. A genuine friend steadies us, defines us, and can paint upon us a wash so utterly lovely, we barely recognize ourselves. When we leave the presence of such a friend we are brighter, better versions of ourselves, for their absolute belief in us radiates from the words they speak, and often from the words they choose not to. / We are filled with the joy that comes from being loved by one who knows innately all the parts of which we are and loves us because of, and often in spite of these prismatic pieces. Are you blessed to have such friends and are we ourselves, such friends to others? There is such beauty in this realization I have spent many hours exploring it with colour and form. “Two are better than one, if one falls down, the other can help him up” / / Ecclesiastes 4:9
