This guy sits in the ‘office’ of the market in Rhuengeri, northern Rwanda. / As with many jobs in this part of the world, I’m not sure whether he actually receives a salary. There didn’t seem a lot to do, which left him to sit there and observe people wandering back and forth.
This woman sat contemplating in a church in northern rwanda. Rather than sad, I prefer to see it as faithful and peaceful.
A friend of mine was just diagnosed with breast cancer she never had a mammogram she thought since none of the woman in her family ever had it why bother that is the wrong way to think every woman is at risk…..all you women out there get a yearly mammogram early detection saves lives…...

Praise is just 6 years old, and in much pain. she has a disease called Rickets. her pelvis, thighs, lover legs and left food are all twisted and bowed outward. The tears are genuine, and I also wept as I saw her again for the first tine in 11 months. When I saw her first in April 2007, She was walking like a duck and found it hard to walk. then in December 2007, again I met her. this time the upper thighs had bowed even more. Now when I met her a few weeks ago in September 2008, I was heartbroken as was our Mission nurse and Field workers. / We noticed her coming towards us from a long distance, and as she came nearer we could see she was trying to speed up, and as calling my name “Papa Trevor”. When I saw her tears, I stood silently with tears flowing down my cheeks. Praise was in much pain. She tried to walk as fast as she could when others told her that papa Trevor was in the village. / I knew we could only pray for her, as we had no medicines for pain. Here in London Praise would have free medical treatment and be well cared for. Please Please pray for Praise, that God will heal her, or send us the money so we can buy the correct medicines to help her. [SEE ALL MY INDIA ART AT:] http://www.redbubble.com/people/Evangelist Nari_kor-avars Gypsy Girl. Taken in Tamil Nadu State. India. It was 6.03am and I was walking around the gypsy camp and from a distance I heard a young girl singing. As I approached She waved and continued to sing. I could tell she was singing a heartfelt Worship song, and Yesu, Jesus was what I recognised as she sang in her native language. I was so moved and a tear formed in my eye as she sat there singing unto God. After a few moments, My interpretor sought up with me and explained she was singing “Thank you Jesus for Loving me and I love you”. These are extremely poor gypsies and treated as outcasts by almost all in Society. But with God they are no outcasts and he truly loves them. PLEASE READ THIS DESCRIPTION OF THIS SCENE. Inside a gypsy camp near Chennai, India. I was making notes on the people and conditions within the camp, and I noticed this little girl showing great attention to what I was doing with the pencil and paper. I knew that all the children within this particular camp never went to school. These people are in extreme poverty and school fess take a second place, to using whatever little money they can earn from making necklaces and bracelets to feed their families. I later gestured to her if she would like some paper and a pencil. She came running to me and I give her a pad and Pencil. She was soon surrounded by others, as she scribbled and made what was to her a very nice drawing. It was just a few squiggly lines and marks to me. / later that evening as I was resting the little girl came to my memory, and the Lord spoke to me very clearly. He said ” DID YOU SEE THE JOY AND HAPPINESS IN HER FACE AS SHE TOOK THE PENCIL AND MADE HER MARKS ON PAPER? DID YOU SEE WHAT I SAW TREVOR? TO YOU IT WAS JUST A FEW LINES AND LOOKED LIKE A MESS, BUT TO ME i LOOKED INSIDE HER HEART AND FELT HER JOY. I SEEN HER SMILE AND EXPRESS A MOMENT OF SHEER HAPPINESS, WHICH IS SOMETHING NOT OFTEN SEEN, EVEN BY ME IN THE HEARTS OF THESE MY CHILDREN”. The Lord showed me just how much simple things can bring so much Joy to people. She never went to school, and could not read or write. Yet in her mind what she had created in her drawing was something she never had the opportunity to do before. God saw the beauty in her heart and to him he saw more than just a few squiggles on paper, Please help us to give these children the joy of sitting in a classroom and learning new things. To give them the tools and opportunity to be what God wants them to be Successful, Educated and equipped to face a future with skills and confidence. PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS. This is the latest Child in Unga/Fada Village, Rural Nigeria, who has just become an Orphan. I received this, by Email last night from Joshua, our medical officer, via Email. / sorry about the quality of the photo. Chioma is 8 years old and her name means gift from God. I met her and her Mother in November 2008 while on Mission in the village. Her father died in 2007 and her mother died on Wednesday 23rd July 2009. I spoke to Our senior Nurse today at our Africa Mission centre, to see if we could take her to live with us. Sadly at the moment we cannot as there is insufficient funds to care for her. We have the Twins, their grandmother, plus Sam, David and Mora. We are providing for them. So at the moment Chioma is staying with a Christian family who lives in the village. the extra child will be a challenge. She will be loved and treated as their own, but it will mean there will be feeding and clothing problems. She won,t be able to continue School. To Cover Chioma’s School Fees, Uniform, text books, her living costs, which included all that she will need, Costs £ 12 – $20 – 14 Euro per month. Total for One year £144 – $248 – 168 Euro’s . I know these are challenging financial times for many, but I ask you to consider helping Chioma. If you cannot help financially, Please do Pray that God will move someone who can to help us help her. / I am not salaried and if I had the money I would gladly sow it into her life. PLEASE READ THIS. [AS IS] Early morning in Kallaporum Gypsy camp. Tamil Nadu State. India. I stayed several nights in this gypsy camp to really find out what its like for these NARI_KAR_ AVARS gypsies. This was taken very early in the morning. A Mother sings in broken English ” Jesus we enthrone you”, as she washes her child . She will leave her child alone in the camp with elder woman as she goes to town to sell her hand made beads to get money for food. it takes one day to make a 16” necklace, and all she will get is around £0.15- $ 0.30. its not enough to feed her child. She may also work as a labourer on building sites for $1.30 pre day. Many builders and farmers use these gypsies as cheap labour. The gypsies have no choice but to work from sunrise to sunset for $1.30 per day. They are under Hindu religion, at the bottom of the caste system. Called outcasts and treated as untouchables, they face harassment, discrimination, abuse, and shunned by many. They have no Land of their own to farm and their children in most cases do not attend School, as they simply cannot afford the £70- $130 per year for school fees, uniform and text books. Living in settlements that have no clean water, No sanitation, and make shift homes made from mud, sticks and plastic bags and sheeting. Poverty here is extreme as is the high death rate of children aged 0-7 years old. 11 in every 100 woman die from childbirth and others develop life long complications. I and my Charity called Philadelphia Mission, along with Indian Gypsy new life mission, are the only ones working to help them. Tere are estimated to be 40,000000 gypsies in India of which The NRAI_KAR_AVARs tribe make up 4,000000. We need your prayers and help to reach them and help them, especially the children. Children’s light summer clothing and sandals and light shoes are needed. Also We need finance to drill a bore well, provide basic medical care, and cover school fees. We need you to actually sponsor a child. If you can help, please help us today. My Inspiration and passion to be a help to these precious childrem comes from these words of Jesus. / Matthew 19:14 +“Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and don’t try to stop them! People who are like these children belong to God’s kingdom”.” Her name is *Abeo. It means I bring Joy. As I was walking from Ungwa/Fada Village to Kaban, Saidie, our senior medical officer noticed a child following us in the bush. We continued walking adn the child continued to follow us from a distance. We speculated about what village she belonged to and why she was following us. I asked Joshua our Medical officer to make contact with her and see if she would speak to us. Frightened and shaking we gradually won her trust adn this is her story. The first words she spoke to me was , “My name Abeo. I am hungry”. she could not say which village she came from and she was walking for days, sleeping in the bush and eating berries. her father died. Her mother told her she must go to a big town and chased her away. ” I was crying and I did not want to go. My fathers dead, I have no family, because mummy chased me away”. She was lost and very frightened. We took her with us to Kaban village hoping someone there would be able to tell us where she came from and possibly help us. Nobody knew her. We did however leave her with a Missionary adn his family. living in great need his wife a good friend insisted that Abeo will be welcome and she cam stay as long as she likes, or until a relative claims her. We have a small Mission center in Kujama Village, But already have Twins and others who we care for. We just could not take her with us as we cannot afford to care for another precious child in need. Please Pray for me and the Philadelphia Mission Charity, that God will touch people to sow Finance into the Mission so we can do much more for these children. We really do need your Prayers and Donations, No matter how small you may think it is., It all adds up,and every penny goes to them. [PLEASE READ THIS]. These are some children from Tunga/Zuga Village in remote Kebbe state. Nigeria. I make no exaggeration when I say here in remote Nigeria, Poverty is very extreme. ye Nigeria is one of the wealthiest African Counties, Corruption, Greet and religious favour has left many in remote and rural villages in a desperate fight for survival. Often forgotten by Government and in great need of the basic essentials in life, these children suffer so much. Sickness and preventable diseases kill, disable and cause much pain. In the early morning as the sun begins to rise, the sound of Children coughing in their little huts wake me. I see a young girl about 7 years old light a fire and start to boil some water. children slowly start emerging into the early morning light. empty bellies and twisted limbs It is plain to me that this is Poverty at its worst. My passion in life is to reach as many children with Love and give them practical help. My inspiration is from seeing many children being helped and now living better lives, over 15 years of my Missionary work. The village has no means of Growing more food, as they have no fertilizers, lack tools and water. Since this was taken in 2007, kind people here on RB has donated enough to purchase a Honda Water pump, and basic tools. This is what we can do when we come together and work as one. There is still Great urgency in providing them within Clothing, Clean water well and a School, that will serve almost 80 Children, from here and surrounding villages. From 22ned November 2008 -15th August 2009, 8 children have died from contaminated river water, plus 3 adults. This is the second Photograph of a Young boy returning from his mornings fishing. There are less fish in the Nile today as Pollution, and a rare Water hyacinth that takes Oxygen out of the water has killed many. Because of poverty the fishermen are taking smaller fish out of the Nile and this is having terrible effects on the number of fish. Life is becoming very hard here for fishermen. now some are turning to other work just to survive. This is not easy as all they have known is fishing. PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS I am a British Missionary, Disabled by Rickets, and dying from Chronic Malnutrition and its effects upon her little body. I and the Philadelphia Mission Charity are in despair at the moment because we cannot raise enough money to provide the tools needed to help Ungwa/Fada Village grow enough good quality food so children like our little Angel here can eat well and enjoy a healthy life. But we thrive on challenges. In 15 years of missionary work, without any Sponsors, I and the small team have made a great difference. Compassion is a very powerful Emotion. yet for me and the small unpaid team at Philadelphia Mission, a UK Charity, Compassion is much more. To each of us, it is the reason why we do what we do. Compassion and a great Love for these extreme poor and sick it is the driving force behind our work. My inspiration and Love comes from a divine experience I had in 1994 while working in a village where only children survived. Their Whole families were wiped out by AIDS. I actually experienced the same Compassion and love of God for these poor. It was for a few minutes, and it has been with me ever since. We urgently need Money for Multi-Vitamins , in Tablet, sweet and liquid form. This will benefit immediately these children, pregnant mothers and breast feeding mothers. I am returning to these remote villages on 19th November. There I will purchase from a very trustworthy Christian Pharmacy at discount as many High grade Multi-vitamins as we can. We need you to please pray and sow a donation into this mission. I will publish receipts here on RB. receipts that can be traced and a telephone number. Also Photographs. I ask you, please consider helping us in our helping these children. The reason I live and my passion is to bring Love and help to these precious children in remote and ruarl villages in Africa/India. This is Sister Saidi, Founder of Salama Health ministries in Nigeria. She is a long time friend and our Charity has been in partnership with them since 2006. We have an office at their mission centre. There are three children from Ungwa/fada village in Rural Nigeria, with rickets. In this small village there are 15 children with bowed and twisted limbs. They walk in extreme pain and one little girl is now almost crippled. Rickets is mainly caused by lack of Vitamin [D]. because of little and poor quality food, Malnutrition is also rampant here, Their immune systems are very low. This is why we are working in this village. Multi Vitamins are urgently needed here. We do supply some, but do not have the money to supply to the whole village. I am returning on 15th Nov-16 Th Dec to this and many other villages. Please pray for me and the mission. Please visit our Charity website today and make a donation towards these Multivitamins and other needed materials. No matter how little it is it will be a blessing to these children. I took this yesterday morning as I was walking and praying in Wanstead Park, London. These are Two black [ Cormorants] and they come here every year. it was a cold morning and they stretch forth their wings to absorb the early morning sunshine. I sometimes wish I was a Heron and then I could fly away any time I like and visit the villages of Africa. “Freedom, a priceless gift”.
