  • You want honesty? You want real? You want ‘straight up?’ / Go to a place where there’s no pretention. Where there’s no walls. Where there’s only windows. / Go to a place where even amongst the have-nots there are some who have-not as much as others. / Go there right now in your mind and tell me you’re not affected by what you see. / Then spare a thought for those who have not much more than the desire to dream. And cherish your ability to do so. x All profits to healafrica.org

  • She was very proud of her umbrella. What can I say?

  • This shot is one of my favourites because it tells such a story. In the forground is a wallet being held by one of my colleagues Bart. He is buying the basket being held by the Rwandan woman in the middle of the shot. All eyes are on the transaction. This represents life and death in Africa as much as any other portrait. It is positive, but you can also feel the tension, the need, the hope. All proceeds to charity. I might even buy this myself. – Dog photography – Africa photography / - Beach photography - Black & white photography – Dog photography – Africa photography / - Beach photography - Monotone photography

I will never forget taking this photograph, as I was standing waiting for the ferry to come. Anyone who has been to rural Africa will know that things runs on African time. That’s why I call them Last minute.com. After three hours, these two guys came to me and said the ferry Had broke down on the other side, and that they would take me accross. So I got in, with all my camera equipment and a very wet Interpreter, who fell into the water. / One the way accross I suddenly realised that the large boat coming straight towards us was the Ferry. It was so funny. The fishermen refused to take any payment, as they said it would bring good fortune to the, as they had a white man in their boat. they both recieved Jesus as Lord and Saviour. It was really a blessed boat trip. visit: / http://www.philadelphia33.org/

Here you see Leah praying to God before she starts her daily task of caring for her younger brother and sister, John and Sarah. / Her father died shortly after our last visit in December 2007. Mother is sick. James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. In the midst of so much suffering, Jesus is always there to comfort, heal and strengthen. Like me, Leah draws strength and peace from her heavenly Father as She talks to him in Jesus name. There is no greater Love, or deeper heart of compassion than Gods heart toward all people, regardless of their Race, Color or background. • Thank you to all of you who have donated and prayed for little Grace. She is now in good health and has made a great recovery. Praise God, I am so happy right now. Grace and other children who suffer so much Inspires me to work 12-14 hours per day sharing their plight with others and fund-raising.. I have not had the good fortune of ever having a salary for what I do. but God rewards me in many other ways. To see a child tat would have died now live and smile is wonderful. To empower the poor with more than just hope is what I live and work for. In Tunga/Zuga village, a remote village in Kebbe state Nigeria, there are so many children who are without ANY source of help. The village has no source of clean water, since their well collapsed in 2006. Intestinal worm infections, river Blindness, Chronic Diarrhoea, Malnutrition and other preventable diseases are killing and disabling many. We are making a difference and with your Prayers, Donations and support we can not only save their lives, refurbish the old school adn give them education. If it had not been for your prayers and donations for Grace, she would certainly have died. I am deeply thankful to you all. We can make a difference. / Please continue to donate and support these precious people and this mission. You are part of Gods end time plan. • Bedlam heartburn / A series where I try to approach the fear of insanity. I believe that this fear is collective and that we all have to face it sometime, one way or another. This is a composite. First image is almost untouched and created with long exposure with a flashlight. Second layer is worked in CS. Both blended and mixed in CS. For the image on the main layer I try to keep the Photoshop-work to a minimum to not loose the ethereal energy the method some times captures. Please view this !! / Inspired by this wonderful song by Ane Brun – This Voice Lyrics This voice / Is it calling / Is it calling / It’s your choice / She said / Take or let go / Is it calling / When you’re all alone / In your own sweet home / Is it calling / This voice / Is it calling I have to say / I choose get out of my way / Leave my ghost alone / Let me walk on by / Let me walk on by / Let me walk on by / Let me walk on by This voice / It is calling / It is calling for me / If you still haven’t heard it / You shouldn’t ask for it / You should just leave it be / ‘Cause you’re deaf until / The day for you it will / Be calling / This voice / It is calling This is my way to healing and selfrealization. If my work can give something to an other human being it´s many times worth the effort. Thanks for stopping by and look into my world of madness for a minute.

  • PLEASE READ THIS. Taken outside Chennai,Tamil Nadu state. South India. my passion in life is to help as a many poor and outcast people in the world as I can. I am not alone here. With te help of many friends here on Rb we are making a real difference. / http://www.philadelphia33.org/ There are 40 Million gypsies in India. I am working with the most abused tribe called Narikoravars tribe. pronounced [ Nari-Kor-Avars] just over 4 million and very little help. Only a handful of Churches, 3 in all, and one small Charity work with them. They are Outcast because of Hindu religion and just because they belong to this tribe. Treated, lower than dogs, they are beaten, stoned and chased from towns and villages. They have no Land, and little property. We are now working with these in small settlements. They have no toilets, clean water, no healthcare, no education as they cannot afford the school fees, uniforms and text books. those that can are often chased from schools. Many are Christian, yet the Churches have failed them. They hunt and make beads. If they don’t sell them they go hungry. THIS IS JUST A SAMPLE. I WILL UPLOAD MANY MORE IN A NEW SITE HERE ON RB SOON. WITH FULL DETAILS AND REPORT. They are in urgent need of Clothing, finance for water pump, well, med’s, school. • PLEASE READ THIS. TAKEN IN NATURAL LIGHT I am an Irish born missionary and founder of Philadelphia Mission a British Charity. My passion in life is to reach as many children living in extreme poverty with practical tools and help to live healthy and productive like. My inspiration and motivation is from God adn his great love for the poor and outcast. This is a NARI-KOV-AVARS Gypsy girl. I took this Photograph while ministering in a Gypsy camp just outside Chennai in Tamil Nadu State. India. She was following me and the team as we went through the settlement. I was battling 40c heat and drinking bottled water a lot. One of the gypsy pastors shouted at her to be quiet, which really upset me. I asked him why he was shouting at her and what she had said. He told me she was begging and wanted water, adn he told her off. I knelt down and looked at her deeply in her eyes, and ask my interpreter to tell her, i would like to give her a bottle of water. I had several in by backpack. AS I handed her the water, Pastor Alwin took this Photograph with my camera, as I was talking with her. he was right behind me. So the expression on her face is what I would have seen. There is no clean water in the gypsy camp, and water is very scarce now that its dry summer. What really touched my heart was that she went and called her older sister and shared the water with her. These gypsies are treated adn called outcasts, because they are under Hindu Religion classed as such. They are beaten cheated and often chased from towns and villages. No one in this campo went to school, as they had no money for school fees. there is no medical care and no toilets anywhere in the camp. Neglected by locals and government alike. We and THE INDIA NEW LIFE GYPSY MISSION CHURCH are the only ones now helping the 4000000 NARI-KOV-ARARS gypsies. There are a total of 40.000000 gypsies in India, and almost all get help, except the NARI-KOV-AVARS tribe. We need your Prayers and Help. • PLEASE READ THIS. Taken in a Gypsy settlement close to Kallakurachi. India. Some of you will know me through my Writings and photographs of Extreme poor in Remote and Rural villages in Africa, and correspondence here on RB. God called me in 1994 to go and share his Message with the poor, disadvantaged and outcast, I have with great passion and little Financial support being doing what he has commissioned me to do. [My Passion in life is to reach as many poor and disadvantaged in Remote and rural villages with the Gospel of Jesus, and provide practical help and care]. I have with the help, Prayers and support of precious people worldwide been able to not only share Gods message of salvation, but provide Tools, Clothing, Bibles, Some School fees, Seeds, Medicines and other needful things to empower them to live better lives. Recently here on RB in the past two years, God has blessed me with many new precious friends. I thank God for you all. In Uganda during 2001-2003, God used me to expose Children being sold by extremely desperate and poor families, to those who had money and who they thought would give their child a better life. I detest this, yet in most cases, not all, the parents or carers could no longer provide for the child. With their government unable, or unwilling to help, they look to those outside their community and tribe for an answer. In India where I and the Philadelphia Charity are now working with NARI-KOR-AVARS gypsy tribe, I came across several cases of children for sale. I personally have been offered children. One for sale and one to take home to Britain and care for her. The reason why I am sharing this with you is that the above Photograph is of one such child. Some of you will experience feelings of Unbelief that this happens, and others strong emotions of anger and disgust. I am asking you to have a thought for the Mother of this child and pray for her. In extreme poverty, Outcast from Society and treated lower than a dog, almost everywhere she goes. She has tried her very best to provide food and shelter. She is sick in body and wept genuine tears of sorrow, as she asked me buy her child for for 5000 Rupees = $100. Please help us to help these precious parents and carers with tools, seeds, Clothing, income, practical help, so tey never be in the position of giving away or selling their child as a last resort to saving that child and giving it a better future. This is happening not just in India or Africa, but in other countries also. Some sell their children purely for selfish gains. But I have not yet met any. those I met are heartbroken and doing something that must be unthinkable to any of us . 100% of all money raised from sale of any of my art, or donations made via our charity website goes to help extreme poor in Africa and India. PLEASE STATE IF YOU MAKE A DONATION VIA BMAIL, IF YOU WANT YOUR DONATION TO GO TO INDIAN GYPSIES AID OR TO EXTREME POOR IN AFRICA. • Please read this. [Taken in natural light] I am an Irish born missionary adn Photographer. I also am founder of Philadelphia Mission a British registered charity. My Passion and inspiration comes from a heart touched deeply by Gods Love. Sara is one of 16 children with rickets in this small village. Ungwa/Fada village is certainly one of the poorest I have seen in Kebbe state. Chronic malnutrition, River blindness, Diarrhoea, Intestinal worm infection and the inability to grow enough food have made a big impact on their health. Rickets is a disease caused by Lack of Vitamin [D],. Many children are malnourished and their body does not absorb Vitamins D. C . B. A. We have however through donations made via RB members purchased a water Pump, and now they can irrigate their fields. But they still need fertilizers, tools and good quality seed to grow better food. A Bore well is urgently needed to stop many of the diseases and sicknesses they experience. ALL MONEY RAISED FROM SALE OF MY ART, DONATED ART AND DONATIONS MADE VIA OUR CHARITY WEBSITE, GOES TO HELP THESE PRECIOUS CHILDREN. WE TAKE NOTHING OUT OF WHAT YOU GIVE TOWARDS CHARITY OVERHEADS. • .Please Read this. This really was a special moment for me. I never knew that Lenti and the other children in this village had never seen a Biscuit/cookie before. She looked at it for almost 3 minutes and only began to eat it when she saw a member of our mission staff eat hers. Lenti is a precious little girl who was very ill when she came to our Mission Centre. Medicines alone just could not save her life. We prayed and trusted God to heal her and he did. We provided lots of Love and High Protein biscuits/cookies and Multi-vitamins, provided by you, whom we and the Lord depend upon. This gives me so much joy and drives me even harder to raise the funds to save and bless many more like Lenti. / My Passion and inspiration is God given, and although I lack Finances, it has never stopped me blessing these children. As St. Luke (who was a physician) said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, ...” / +Luke 4: 18 + This is a success story and with your help we can make many more success stories. I invite you to visit my Charity Mission Website: / http://www.philadelphia33.org/ British Charity Commission [Reg No: 1049410] PS: The Medicines that many of you Sent to Brother Michael has now arrived at our Mission Center. • PLEASE READ THIS. “This was the exact moment in time when the Power of almighty God and his great compassion and love, touched a dying Child”. Taken in Kaban Muslim village in Nov 2008. I was ministering in the village along with several mission staff, and a mother brought her almost dead child to me and asked for Prayer. As I held the still body of this little boy in my arms, my thoughts went straight to Jesus. I spoke to teh Mother and all around me that the only one that could save this child now as Jesus. I said I will pray in Jesus name. There were a few unhappy elders around, but decided to agree that I should pray in Jesus name, just to see what would Happen. This was the breakthrough. Kaban village is a Muslim village and under Sheria Law. I simply laid my hand on the child and commanded life and divine health to enter the child and that God would fill this child with his spirit. In Jesus name I prayed. Instantly the child because to move his arms and legs and began to cry. I told the mother Jesus had healed her son, and to take her son and breastfeed him as he was hungry. All saw the Power of Jesus and was witnessed by all in the village. Others then came and many were healed and some openly give their lives to Jesus. others followed us on our way to Ungwa/Fada village and received Jesus in private. Jesus is alive and works in and through his people. He loves you, and that is a fact.
