Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Rivenhall Historic Church The Parish of St Mary & All Saints Rivenhall, Essex, England. This church is over a thousand years old and there has been Christian worship here as far back as Roman times. The church is an almost entirely Anglo-Saxon two-celled Church building, standing about 21 feet high, right up to its original eaves level. Radiocarbon dating of the wooden window-sill on the north side was pre-conquest (1066) and centred on 1000 AD. Rivenhall’s 12th Century stained glass was bought in 1839. The Parish of Rivenhall records at Essex Record Office, start in 1639. This church has significance for me, as family members of mine are buried in the church grounds and records show them as being baptised here as well. Canon EOS 350D SLR
