This cheeky pop art greeting card is perfect for anniversaries and engagements.
Created as a reminder that change is always within reach. However, the title reflects the true symbolism in the art work. To the following groups Bryce and Beyond, The Art of 3D, Dimensions and First Things; and all the people that have visited and commented on “Rebirth,” thank you for the features (including the home page of RB), and many kind words. It is very touching and motivating! Peace. Quick view as a Framed Print: / Available as beautiful inspirational notecards too. /

FIRST TIME PUBLISHED / When I looked outside my restaurant in Broome I saw two cowboyheads sitting on the tables outside and I had a strong urge to make some photo’s. I spook to the two men they where from Fitzroy Crossing. They where watching a crowd of Indeginous Aboriginal men and women ‘hanging’ outside in the Plaza. They where waiting for the local liquorshop to open, In Fitzroy is now a ‘ban’ on alcohol, they told me, so Fitzroy Crossing is now a ‘dry’ Community Miss. / Broome, Western Australia. / Today I received an email stating; CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR IMAGE ‘TYPAN’ is one of 55 images from the PEOPLE & PLANET International Photo Competition. to be published in the 2009 People&Planet; Social Justice & Enviroment Diary, which will be published this month in Australia (2009). / We thought that your image was incredible, and it won from a pool of OVER 1000 images from 316 photographers from around the World! / All funds raised by the People&Planet diary go to Australia’s small non profit organisations which are working to promote social-justice and environmental substainability around the world. /

Thinking of You Digital – produced with GIMP There is a related poem here And a Song Iris was featured in M.I.A Featured in Paintings Modern and Beyond The poem is here now: And now I wonder what ever happened / How did we end this way? / What could I have done differently? / Would you have made different choices? Before you were ever born I loved you / And I cherished you as you grew / We danced and played and sang and / I spent so much time away working / so much time spent in the downward spiral I loved to watch you-the funniest things you would do / I loved to watch you-how you grew, how very smart you were / I loved to watch you-in the becoming you shew so much promise / I loved to stare into your eyes-to study the iris / Of first your right and then your left eyes / You have always known how to make me cry And now I wonder what I ever did / That made all of this just happen / Could I have made different choices? / Would you have done anything differently? Before you were born I was a mad man / I Was proud I was pompous and arrogant / I sang and laughed and danced and / I spent so much time waiting for you to come out / (I loved the baby inside the mama!) / So much time dripping by like condensate of misty fog I loved to watch you-the funniest things you would do / I loved to watch you-how you grew, how very smart you were / I loved to watch you-in the becoming you shew so much promise / I loved to stare into your eyes-to study the iris / Of first your right and then your left eyes / You have always known how to cut into me And now I know that all I’ve ever done / Was to make you need to run / The way I accepted you completely / The way you have always wanted to shock me / (Although, you should know by now that you can’t) And now I wonder how I ever let it come to be / That I would arm you, set you poised, then become the target / And watch the iris of first your right and then your left eyes / As you sink home the truth that you really don’t care / You have always known how to rip me, and you have never held it back Before you became this apparition I adored you (and I still do) / Before I became the intention of the thrust / Before, we weren’t so much different / Before. / / Yet now love, I look hard at the iris, / Of first the left / And then of the right / I see now only steely, crackly, electric intensity / And now I wonder if we’ll ever get past this point / I miss you so / I love you / Daughter!
Title thanks to my husband… I was stumped and when I asked my husband for a suggestion for the title he said the daisies were natures beauty and shone amongst a gloomy winters day, which to him is the essence of winter. Caught this back in Summer – February. Bonbeach is one of the nicest beaches on Port Phillip Bay, although I am a little biased. Being particular fair skinned, this is definately the best time to go for a swim.
This is a pastel painting. It won first place in the Pastel Journal Magazine, Pastel 100 Competition in the figure/portrait category. Available as a greeting card in the “Missing You” category.
This is a pastel painting of a young Native American girl that I saw at a pow wow in SW Oregon. I thought she was beautiful. Her rosy cheeks were the color of her red velvet dress. Her Grandmother gave me permission to paint her. I hope you enjoy it!

“Listen a hundred times; ponder a thousand times; speak once.” / - TURKISH PROVERB My son Kane had no idea I was photographing him at this time…He was just wondering sweetly along a path in a local parkland area when suddenly he stopped and leaned on the fence. I honestly could not believe what I was seeing through my viewfinder when he did it. Then when I saw the photograph it just blew me away. Kane is 3 years old in this photograph. This is my all time favourite photograph I’ve taken with my DSLR to date. Played with the colour version in photoshop and am very pleased with the outcome. (black and white ) This was taken with my 300mm Canon lense. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WINNER of the LIVE LOVE DREAM Feel the Emotion Challenge WINNER OF WEEKLY CHALLENGE ○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○ /
/ Journey of a Thousand Thoughts / the drawing prior to photoshopping I drew this last night in bed….with a sketch pad on my lap, by a lowlit lamp…..the eyes came first, as usual…....then the rest…...until i had but a head…..and no room for a body…... I thought what can I add to make this more about me, more interesting….then i remembered the beautiful hot air balloons I’d seen recently photographed by my friend Steven Agius and a while ago some other balloons taken by my friend Jeannette Sheehy and I thought it would make a great balloon….drifting away through the atmosphere, deep in thought….that’s how i often find myself…semi self portrait Drawn with pencil on A3 acid free cartridge paper. / Coloured in photoshop
