Title thanks to my husband… I was stumped and when I asked my husband for a suggestion for the title he said the daisies were natures beauty and shone amongst a gloomy winters day, which to him is the essence of winter. Caught this back in Summer – February. Bonbeach is one of the nicest beaches on Port Phillip Bay, although I am a little biased. Being particular fair skinned, this is definately the best time to go for a swim.

Created as a reminder that change is always within reach. However, the title reflects the true symbolism in the art work. Quick view as a Framed Print: / Available as beautiful inspirational notecards too. /

I’m so insignificant…I am because there’s the Sun…only then….I can be alive…So it’s the blessings of the Sun that we thrive on… Inspired by the ancient ways of Sun worship in the Hindu faith, religion, mythology and many religions and faiths worldwide.. This painting depicts the five elements, Earth / Water / Air / Sky and / Fire Oil-on-canvas / 36 X 24 inches ...this is what I personaly believe in.. is that there is just ONE God. How come? / This planet earth and the Solar (the sun)syetem sprang from the womb of the sun. (the big bang theory says so as well) it’s probably millions of years after the big bang, life began to spring up on our planet, we human beings were probably the last one to arrive lol:) It is us early human beings that had began to understand that we owe our life to the sun. The sun was the only God until great men and women who preached love, peace harmony amongst us came along and we began to worship them as Gods…it is our own interpretation or misinterpretation of their teachings that we should divide ourselves into religious groups and anyone who’s from another faith should be hated…(so sad) we defeat the very basics of their teachings that the holy men, messengers of God, the great teachers and givers of good to us, in Hinduism we call them Devtas which means ‘The Givers’…some call them prophets…some call them Gods as per their own reasons…For me personally The Sun is the God…If there’s the Sun, Only Then We are… This inspired poem is by a dear and a departed poet HAFIZ … I want both of us / To start talking about this Great Love As if You, I and the Sun were all married / And living in a tiny room. / Helping each other to cook, / Do the wash, / Weave and sew / Care for our beautiful / Animals. We all leave each morning / To labor on the earth’s field. / No one does not lift a great pack. I want both of us to start singing like two / Traveling minstrels / About this Extraordinary Existence / We Share, As If, You, I, and God were all married And living in / A Tiny / Room ...and this poem is by RosaCobos / Water melted from iced melted… / The lake of the new dreams.. / where the reflections of the love they share… / will get into the ear.. / travelling along the sun beams…. / down… there.. / into the profoundity. / Rosa (Beautiful picture… and wonderful poem….just tell your friend…) Featured Work… / Honored, Thank you Masterpieces: Literary Workshop Group

This is a pastel painting of a young Native American girl that I saw at a pow wow in SW Oregon. I thought she was beautiful. Her rosy cheeks were the color of her red velvet dress. Her Grandmother gave me permission to paint her. I hope you enjoy it!

FIRST TIME PUBLISHED / When I looked outside my restaurant in Broome I saw two cowboyheads sitting on the tables outside and I had a strong urge to make some photo’s. I spook to the two men they where from Fitzroy Crossing. They where watching a crowd of Indeginous Aboriginal men and women ‘hanging’ outside in the Plaza. They where waiting for the local liquorshop to open, In Fitzroy is now a ‘ban’ on alcohol, they told me, so Fitzroy Crossing is now a ‘dry’ Community Miss. / Broome, Western Australia. / Today I received an email stating; CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR IMAGE ‘TYPAN’ is one of 55 images from the PEOPLE & PLANET International Photo Competition. to be published in the 2009 People&Planet; Social Justice & Enviroment Diary, which will be published this month in Australia (2009). / We thought that your image was incredible, and it won from a pool of OVER 1000 images from 316 photographers from around the World! / All funds raised by the People&Planet diary go to Australia’s small non profit organisations which are working to promote social-justice and environmental substainability around the world. /

RedBubble Post Card - January Thinking
by RedBubbleHello! Well I think we’re finally catching our breath after a mad couple of months. There was a free shipping promotion in November…
Hello! Well I think we’re finally catching our breath after a mad couple of months. There was a free shipping promotion in November that ‘took off’ and a few of the production folks ended up working 24 hours a day to get everything out in time for Christmas. On top of the big influx of orders our t-shirt printer broke down in the last week of November – with gave poor old Ed about a month of heartache. Thanks Ed for carrying RedBubble through all the t-shirt troubles. We’re spending most of January in thinking mode … much of last year was a supreme rush to listen and get things built. You can do this for only so long before needing a break to think. So that’s what we’re doing. Lots of good thinking about what to do next. We’ve been listening to your feedback in this process – and we hope to address many of your requests and suggestions over the next few months. Please be patient with us – there are only three people building the core website and they can only work so fast … (we’ll be recruiting a few more web developers in the next month or two). For those of you who are statistically minded, here’s a few stats from the last couple of months: In November: / - 3,584 sales notifications sent; / - 16,153 items of art ordered; / - 111,356 new works uploaded; / - 6345 new members; and / - 460,796 comments. In December: / - 2,075 sales notifications sent; / - 6,837 items of art ordered (38% of all sales were to non RedBubble members); / - 96,245 new works uploaded; / - 5772 new members; and / - 442,387 comments - Peter
