Estes Park Colorado, also known as the gateway entrance into Rocky Mountain National Park, is seriously a city I wish to call home one day, and now you know why when you see this. Driving down the road, this was a view out my front windshield, so naturally I had to stop and take a few shots….Hallett’s Peak is on the far right, and this would be one of my destinations for the day. There was a planned 3 day trip from Vegas to Monument Valley ending up in Eloy Arizona for some skydiving. Unfortunately when we got to Monument Valley, it was so late there was no chance for an evening shot and anywhere serving food, everything was pretty much shut and rooms were scarcely available or at a cost. We were both quite ill from tiredness and bad food. We’d planned to do a horse riding trip with Roy Blacks Riding Trails through monument valley but as the illness took it’s hold we had to cancel. I got up late and managed to get to the National Park while stopping to be sick I took as many hand held through the window shots as possible while making it seem like there was nobody else but me there. In reality, 8 coaches of tourists were drifting by every 30 minutes. I must go back and do it right. Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 24mm, f/4.5, 1/500sec, ISO 800. No filters used. Stitched in PS.
