A different perspective on the world. Also a nice seasonal picture. It’s a picture of glass globes that have been hanging in the front window at home and I took the picture through them into the winter wonderland outside. It’s not a recent picture, it was taken two, maybe three winters ago. Thought I’d put it up and let it get some exposure! I’m really happy with how it turned out! I hope you enjoy this piece. Polar Bear mum and cubs relax on an ice floe. / / The sea ice is shrinking at an alarming rate, which has a huge impact for the bears as this is their main hunting ground. The same image as earlier but with lots more snow painted in and I’ve painted in Father Christmas’s arm outstretched, and footsteps through the snow. I’ve added a light effect and played around with the brightness, contrast and midtones. / Beware….....This could become an obsession.

I grew up in the Dakota’s in the USA and was quite used to snow…sand was not so usual here. The first time I saw snow and sand together in Norway, I was amazed! I had always thought that when there was sand, there was warmth! WRONG!

My new wolf friend seemed to like having his pictures taken – he stared “up close and personal” right into the lens. These cubs were about 7 months old and very playful, but not just now! We were very lucky with our bear sightings and I was able to get some good close-up shots.
