Captured along the Mount Evans Wilderness in Colorado, this is one of those waterfalls that kind of sneaks up on ya outta the blue, and if you blink, you actually miss it. I really don’t much in the way of long exposure shots, but after being happy with how this one came out, I am going to start doing them more. Hope ya all like it! “Rainy Day On The Mulberry River” / Fall has arrived!!!!! As Is…...... / Canon PowerShot S3 IS Sometimes during the fall season, Arkansas is subjected to rain storms rolling in. It makes the light for photography a bit more difficult, but it doesn’t dampen my spirit because it sure adds mood. With the cool air meeting the / warn air, in comes the fog, adding a warmer touch to the otherwise bold colors of this fall scene along the Mulberry River. This shot was taken by turning off from Highway 23 South, also known as the “Scenic Pig Trail Bypass”, on to Arkansas State Highway 112. “Clouds on the Water, Fire Near the Sky” / Purchase a Mouse Pad of this image I happened onto this gorgeous sunrise over the White River at a time when the water was at its lowest. I was delighted to catch the calm surface for reflections, as the low rising sun was casting its first orange glow over the autumn colors.

Emerald Paradise As Is… / Canon PowerShot S3 IS Rainbow Springs Florida’s third largest spring, Rainbow Springs pump 600 million gallons of water daily and serves as the head water to the pristine Rainbow River. The property was acquired by the State Park Service in 1990 and is slowly being allowed to revert to its natural state. / Beautiful floral gardens surround the spring, and the area is immensely popular in the spring when the azaleas are in bloom. The state also acquired Rainbow Springs State Campground, located nearby, which was formerly privately owned. From the campground, you can tube or canoe the crystalline waters of Rainbow River, or fish for large mouth bass and other freshwater species. / A nature trail provides a lovely walk past two waterfalls and the azalea gardens, and meanders along the Rainbow River. / /

This painting is watercolour on stretched Saunders cold pressed medium, 600gsm paper. / The paint is all transparent Windsor and Newton watercolour. / I have used Windsor and Newton Masking fluid for the ripples. This is a new activity for me, a sort of “off shoot” from the boats and water, I thought I would have a go at just water this time. Best on Full Size This image is of the Patuxent River, just up from the Triadelphia Reservoir and Brighton Dam in Montgomery County, Maryland. This was taken on the same day as Autumn Picnic on the Hill , and is the view from just beyond the tree and picnic tables seen there. Hand held image taken with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens with uv and cp filters. HDR image created in Photomatix from a single image duplicated to evals +/-2 in Photoshop. Shutter speed was 1/125, aperture f/10.0, exp 0.00 and iso 500.
