  • This was painted in Photo Shop on a blank file set at 300 dpi. This painting is NOT photo generated or photo manipulation. This Is Mitch. He is my creation. He is was born in Venice Italy. His mother is Italian his father… well your just going to have to wait till I get his first chapter written. His family moved to the states , NYC, when he was 6. / After his father died his mother (never very caring in the first place) took off and he was left alone to bury his father at the age of 9. The only thing of value he had was a black Journal. After reading it Mitch finds out he is much more than just human. The continence of the journal was the history of his grandfather. Not wanting what happened to his grandfather to happen to him, Mitch takes to the streets. He spent his time growing up on the streets where he met an old blues player who taught him to play a guitar and sing the blues. That’s how he got money, singing on the streets and in joints. With his deep soulful voice and good looks getting a gig was easy. But it wasn’t enough, not for the life he wanted. / So being Italian… It was easy for him to find “other” work. He had learned to knife fight on the streets and became quite good. Then he hooks up with a small time drug lord and so it begins his true life of crime, soon Mitch becomes the right arm man for one of the biggest Mobsters in NYC…… Later , at the height of his success, just 18 Mitch unknowingly kills the Godfather’s nephew in a jealous rage, now he’s their target. / Hombres Fatal / Villains and Villainess

  • All Dressed Up
    by joan warburton

    US$3.71–US$98.80

Original Photo © jwarburton 07 Someone mentioned on another site that she remembers being asked a test question in grammar school, “does the Statue Of Liberty really have sandals on her feet?” Yes, she has sandals on her feet, she’s moving forward with one foot lifted. She has the mark of the early Romans (toes) still visible in many people today – second toe is longer than big toe and little toe is “hammered”. :) “Is the Statue of Liberty in New York or New Jersey?” The statue is part of New York Harbor and sits in Liberty State Park which is in Jersey City, New Jersey. The statue is actually in New Jersey. New York Harbor includes the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the first stop for all immigrants (1892 – 1954) who arrived in New York by boat. • Sapphire
    by Patricia Anne MccARTy

    US$4.28–US$114.00

Digital drawing I made up based on a woman I saw while in France. Sapphire has her own story too. She comes from Sweet Water Texas. Her mother is an X motor biker chick gang member. They were poor so Sapphire use to pole dance to get through school. She was brutally raped by two men. Her mother wanted to raise enough money from her 2 jobs to hire a hit man to kill her daughter’s attackers. But the attackers were rich, one was the son of a state senator, the other his best friend. They were untouchable for people like Sapphire and her mother Canvas. Canvas has a thick Texan accent, flaming red hair, a heavy smoker, 6 foot 2 and 200 pounds. She was known for her chain matches back in the day. She has a criminal background but has tried to stay straight for her daughter. / She never did get the money together so she sold her hog and took what money she had and her daughter and left for NYC at the request of Sapphire’s counsler, Mrs. Cherry who knew of a way Canvas and Sapphire could start a new life. She hooks them up with Lance J. Strongwell. Canvas can’t stand to watch her 23 year old beautiful daughter hide from the world in fear any longer, She never goes out of the house where they lived and she never shows herself anywhere with out a cap, sun shade and a baggy jacket on. Through Lance they meet a man that will change Sapphire’s whole life and is the answer to her mother’s prayers. Revenge is sweet. Canvas enjoying a smoke as she thinks about her new life and her plans. / ( this is just an idea of what she might look like.) / / Women’s Appreciation

  • The Cup and Saucer Vine, also known as the Mexican Climbing Vine when it was introduced in 1792 is actually Cobaea Scandens. It is a perennial plant in its native Mexico but usually it’s grown as an annual here. The plant will cover a large area, like a chain link fence or unsightly view, in one summer – it has a spread of about 25 feet in a year, and in midsummer, it bears cup and saucer flowers which emerge dramatically from green calyxes. The vine climbs by tendrils borne at the ends of its leaves, so it can be placed against a trellis or grown up a rough surfaced wall. The flowers are the wonder of this plant: they start out as green, five-cornered, papery buds, then open to reveal the green saucer and bell-shaped flower. The pale green flower becomes striped with violet, finally changing to deep purple before dropping off the plant. The stamens descend outside the flower and are long, arching and tipped with golden pollen, giving the plant its final touch of elegance. The foliage and tendrils are shaded with violet and are beautiful from spring to late autumn frosts.
