ABOUT MY EXHIBITION The woks exhibited represent the linkup of two artists, a photographer and a sculptor. Such an attempt to blend two spheres of art is really innovative and a bit unexpected. There had been few who were successful in such an attempt. Both authors, blending their art by the means of the photo art, are the winners. Sculpture, as such, is rather a static art, sometimes “performing” in a specific, sometimes artificial, environment. However, the means of the plastic photography, seemingly, make the sculptures movable, dynamic; they make you feel the sculptures are moving. They become alive, start moving and react both to the environment and the views captured by the photographer. I would like the viewers also note the colour solutions of the photos, aimed at the strengthening of the overall impression of the imagery. The original blend and overlapping of two arts let see the impressive plastic metaphors, giving birth to various associations. CLICK PHOTO IF YOU WANT VIEW

CLICK TO LEARN MORE / Sales of this Design? – 3 sales so far :) / / / “Moo Cow Sunrise Family”: by Karin Taylor is another digital design based on Baby Bull Production (click here to see more) / Baby Bull Production is something I created not that long ago. It’s a mixed media piece on canvas textured paper…...i did it in response to the chilled out cows at Mullumbimby, northern New South Wales, who seem to be very laid back, i suspect they are indulging in the ‘other’ kind of grass also….... they have this real chilled look about them, and I’ve never seen cows anywhere else that have this way about them. I put it in the Casino Art Exhibition and it was the only painting that sold, every year a male school teacher goes to that show, or so the legend goes…....and purchases a piece…...it was my lucky year. Tonight I was asked if I’d ever sold a painting in a gallery…well, yes, and at exhibitions and privately. To date I believe I have sold between 30 and 40 original paintings, which I am very proud of…..in the early days 2002 I was very prolific, things have slowed down a bit with my painting now, because i am much more deliberate and take a lot of time to imbue my paintings with layers and love and depth…..it is just how i have grown as an artist, it is nice to report that there is growth along the journey…(and sales lol)!!! Somebody also has a print of these cows and loves them very much from what I understand lol

Sales of this Design? – 1 sale so far :) / Flying Machine / by Karin Taylor / from the ‘Inspired Series’ / / Mixed Media / ink, chalk pastel, charcoal, acyrlic, mediums / silver, gold, bronze and rose metallic acrylics / adobe photoshop My most recent work, this piece was influenced by the ‘gliders’ in my family who have taken to the sky recently. My husband, my son and their friend Erich are all involved in a local gliding club…and always suggesting I paint an aeroplane lol I thought, there’s no way i can do that! / But i found a way, after lots of thinking on the subject to incorporate a sort of flying contraption i designed myself into this piece. My girl is onward bound and it’s semi-self portrait i guess you could say…altho most people don’t see the resemblance to me….she is a lot younger, perhaps how i would like to be thought of lol Also inspired by my lovely and ever patient friend Christine / a fabulous friend and textile artist, her threads and yarn and tactile things have affected me on an immense scale, so that all my work these days is imbued with these elements….although there is no actual wool or thread in the painting, i have used these as inspiration for her scarf and hair detail. The khaki overalls are what i wear when i’m painting, with a white singlet in summer, or a jumper in winter…...i am yet to find a hairdresser who could accomplish this hairstyle for me.. the little parrot represents conscience, a little voice that knows right from wrong….this is an idea loosely taken from a movie i saw a while ago ‘The Golden Compass’ I dedicate this painting to Christine, as she has listened to all my crazy ideas, and very carefully encourages me or points out things that may help, and i don’t know where i’d be without her…..thanx Chris :) Patchwork and patterns, repitition, daisies, journeys, serene expressions, genuity…..

This for you Terez , my lovely daughter , she died when she was nearly 15 …... Thank you my friends your comments and support mean a lot to me. I had this pain bottled up in me so so long… but I knew and hoped with time passing things will change and turn out good… I was right, things started to unfold last week and I could just see and feel it. Working with this wonderful model just inspired me and brought all those feelings up from my heart, bones and my most inner part. I loved every minutes of it and it gave me a wonderful peace of mind. / The original is 120cmX100cmx2cm , oil on canvas , SOLD !. / You can see this picture in a nice interior here / Hope you like it…? / Thank you dear ANAISNAIS/Anna-Marie for this beautiful writing here. / TURNING OVER / Clock strikes, / every second my heart stabs / another injection of grief, / as streams wash the contours / rushing the valleys of guise. Memories. / All I behold now you have gone, / besides photographs and diaries. / I stare at you and you are there, / besides me once more. / I used candlewax, few different sized black marker pens, retractable pencils, charcoal white and black, ink and pastels on a small piece of timber to create “Happiness Always”......and that’s what I wish for everyone…. happiness always it could be for a newborn baby, just cheer someone who’s a little sad, or for a birthday ~ wishing someone happiness always is just a nice thing to do any time of the year :)

The Lady of the Lake / Mixed Medium / The Lady of the Lake was the ruling Priestress of Avalon and is know as Viviane, Nyneve, she was Fay not mortal. As a young girl she enchanted Merlin who taught her all his secrets, she later became the foster mother to Sir Lancelot. King Arthur had fought a long battle and would not have lived save for Merlin who brought the King to a hermit who had studied the art of healing, and cured all his wounds in three days. / Medium Size Print/Cherry Frame/Off White Matt Watercolour crayons, watercolour pencils, faber castell pencils, ink, acrylic, wax, gesso acrylic, chalk pastel, pen, charcoal on paper This began as a drawing while on holiday at an island resort, it’s one of those paintings that seemed to have a mind of it’s own, and wanted to be painted a certain way…even though I had different ideas, this is the end result. LOL I was originally going to colour her very gently with wax and soft pastels…but she became more and more vibrant as I went along. Perhaps the colouring says something of how vibrant we become when we are well rested, balanced and relaxed.
