This was painted in Photo Shop on a blank file set at 300 dpi. This painting is NOT photo generated or photo manipulation. This Is Mitch. He is my creation. He is was born in Venice Italy. His mother is Italian his father… well your just going to have to wait till I get his first chapter written. His family moved to the states , NYC, when he was 6. / After his father died his mother (never very caring in the first place) took off and he was left alone to bury his father at the age of 9. The only thing of value he had was a black Journal. After reading it Mitch finds out he is much more than just human. The continence of the journal was the history of his grandfather. Not wanting what happened to his grandfather to happen to him, Mitch takes to the streets. He spent his time growing up on the streets where he met an old blues player who taught him to play a guitar and sing the blues. That’s how he got money, singing on the streets and in joints. With his deep soulful voice and good looks getting a gig was easy. But it wasn’t enough, not for the life he wanted. / So being Italian… It was easy for him to find “other” work. He had learned to knife fight on the streets and became quite good. Then he hooks up with a small time drug lord and so it begins his true life of crime, soon Mitch becomes the right arm man for one of the biggest Mobsters in NYC…… Later , at the height of his success, just 18 Mitch unknowingly kills the Godfather’s nephew in a jealous rage, now he’s their target. / / Copyright / These Images and Writings Do Not Belong To ANY Public Domain. Found usually in rainforests, but ventures into adjoining eucalypt woodland to reach other areas of rainforest. Small flocks roost in tall rainforest trees. In the morning, small groups, noisly move out to feed on big fruiting trees. What a character this guy was – makes me smile just to look at him!

It’s too cold to take pictures today so I’m going through some old shots; came across this one, a close cousin to one I posted months ago, but I couldn’t resist sharing Mr. Beautiful with everyone in this different pose.
Mr. and Mrs. Bluebird work as a team when feeding their babies. Both are avid hunters, going wherever the pickings can be found. In this case, Dad’s serving up cricket casserole while Mom’s whipping up some spider souffle. Babies aren’t particular; they eat just about anything. I love watching this pair appear at the nestbox with a wide variety of fare. Dad tends to serve things on a larger scale while Mom offers daintier portions. I saw him with multiple caterpillars dangling from his bill; quite a feat to catch and carry but he does it expertly! It’s very rare that both male and female land on a given spot together so I spliced two photos together in order to convey the idea of their concerted efforts on behalf of their little family.
A few days ago I read artist Rosa Cobos´s Tarot:Mirror and SoulPathway. Needless to say, I left fascinated and felt the urgent need to recreate one of the Tarot cards; I chose “The Hanged” _ and still don´t know why. / Once I completed the image I sent it to Rosa, and this is what she sent back to me. The Hanged. / Text By Rosa Cobos / Supreme quietness… / submmission to the unavoidable. / I would love to sustain my strength in that light, / so temping and methodic. / It is supposed to drag me out of the pit, / illuminate my ciborg-like entrails, / but I am not listening to any shinning voices.. / repting voluptuously up to heaven. / I need to root… mind and heart.. / I need to let my thoughts… images and ego / rot… like the fallen leaves, / I need to close my phantom eyes… / that seem to see beyond the unseen. / But they do not. / Resisting to meet the real void, / the entralis assembly of twisted conducts. / I have walked a long journey to become still.. / bruising my kneess.. / until I got to the Supreme Cave of desillussion. / I need to darken my skin, / white marbled, resisting to rust, oxidize…. / the blood that is sucking from the acid vegetation. / No one will tresspass my threshold of meditation. / On one… / not even myself, / for I need to forget, / the name, / the rank, / the place.. / where .. / as a young soldier, / I had been fighting, / the eternal war. I always wanted a “classic” kind of Elk shot, where one can see the steam coming out of their nose and mouth after the Bugle, with snow falling and such, and I think I finally was able to get it ! He gave us a lot of good shots, I will say that! Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado Minolta 5D & Tamron 200-400mm lens
a gorgeous male goldfinch sits on a branch near the niger feeder, waiting his turn at the feeder. The male goldfinch will lose his bright ye;;ow plummage in early fall, turning to a greenish-yellow feather color. Come spring, he will once again don his golden feathers. camera used is Olympus E-3
a male cardinal, brilliant in red, has hgis big bright eyes on the lookout for predators. Cardinals love to sit in the pine tree to check the sunflower seed feeder for safety before coming in to feed. This affords an excellent opportunity for some candid, closeup shots. I love the way the pine needles frame the cardinal, and radiate out from him.
In dreams and in love there are no impossibilities. Sugestions:

a brilliant male cardinal strikes a handsome pose as he sits on a snow covered branch in a pine tree. this is our first good snow fall in three years, and the cardinals always seem to flourish in the snow. the feeder area was abuzz, and the activity was brisk. /
the brilliant male cardinal, the boss of the group, enjoys a brief moment of warm sunshine as he rests on a snow covered pine branch. I love his pose, and he looks kind of dreamy, possibly thinking of spring. / /
