I found this green little fellow, at night in the garden, right under the back light. He comes from the family Geometridae and looks to be an Agathia metaspila. / I hope you like this wonderful little moth. Thanks for taking the time to drop by. Happy shooting Ken

Sony H5 with M3358 close up lens. Cropped back from 3072×2304 to 1808×1360 and rotated it for better viewing. Yes I know I can up-size it back to 3072×2304 but that way you loose image quality IMO. Hence only available as card or matted print. If anybody wants the original shot or an up-sized version let me know. / / Have a look at my other photos. The centre of a very beautiful rose

This is my favorite photo of all! There is a wild red rose by my kitchen door. Late one afternoon, I was clipping tired blooms from the clusters; some clusters were hanging down. As I reached for this one to turn it over, a glimpse of gold flashed in the low sun. I looked again and discovered this tiny little frog napping in the heart of the bloom. I had only the negative and a small digital file from a scan, and it has taken me a month to get it into the appropriate high-resolution format where I can finally offer it for sale! Another experiment with metallic blue paper as a background and the flash on my camera… haha, I guess it worked well. I never use my flash, so that’s why this is so experimental, hehe. It’s also the stamen of a hibiscus.

Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Snow Gum (Eucalyptus pauciflora) A medium-sized, often crooked tree has a short trunk to 1m diameter. It is low-branching with a spreading open crown. It sheds its bark in irregular patches in autumn, leaving a smooth white to yellow, olive-green or brown surface, occasionally with scribbly markings from insect lavae. Flowers appear in spring and early summer. They are white or cream.
