Pearls represent the tears of the moon and remind us that life may not be easy and we all struggle. The lotus represents strength through love. The daisies are for simplicity. The bindi is for spiritual insight. The red sky at night is a sailor’s delight…for a red sky at night indicates smooth seas on the morrow! THIS IS A FIRST FOR ME.. A THREE WAY!! / IT HAS BEEN SUCH A TRILL TO BED DOWN WITH LINDA R AND ANTHONY R. PLASTINO III ...NO NOT LITERALLY IN BED SILLY.. WE HAD A 3 WAY COLAB.. AND OHHH IT WAS SO GOOD.. HERE ARE THE RESULTS.. I TOOK LINDA R’S PIECE..DIAMONDS AT DUSK / AND ANTHONY’S PIECE IRIS / I PUT MY TAKE ON HOW THEY WOULD LOOK SIDE BY SIDE AND ADDED SOME LINAJI TOUCHES ..BUT FOR ME THE MIRACLE WAS I HAD IRIS ON THE BRAIN BECAUSE OF MY TWO COMPANIONS HERE AT RB.. AND WROTE THIS POEM I TRULY ENJOYED WRITING CALLED THOUGHTS ON IRIS Iris lips / Iris love, / deep / soft / rich / My mother loved them / And a man called Mitch, / Bunches he would send / for our kitchen table / Just by the weekend, / Bunches there would be / By her bed / By her box of buttons, / needles and thread, / Iris laughing and loving too / From a Man and a Woman / Who, / Made me feel special and a part of them / But it always seemed that on Sunday / I called it Irisday then, / When up the stairs they came / With the comics and some pancakes / And a single stem, / An Iris from I knew where, / By the bed of love, / They did share, / And all at once I felt the heat / I felt a family we were complete / So now as I look back and feel / My times with Mother and Mitch / My times with all that was real, / I owe my Sundays and my Mondays too / When I awoke to its purple hue, / I learned to just lay there / And look to this / Flower, / To feel it’s life and it’s love and it’s power / For it seemed as a child I saw / The magic in Iris was the magic of awe / That life itself in a single stem / Can bring much happiness now / As it did then Linaji 2008

The Gentoo Penguin is listed as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red list of Threatened Species Melting sea ice and overfishing have triggered a dangerously rapid decline in penguin populations on the Antarctic peninsula – a direct result of global warming, warns a new report from the WWF. Temperatures on the frozen continent are rising five times faster than the global average due to the unprecedented rate of climate change, pushing four species perilously close to extinction. Warmer temperatures are forcing penguins to raise their young on increasingly thinner and more precarious ice floes, while stronger winds mean many eggs and chicks are being blown away from their parents before they are able to survive on their own. The gentoo, chinstrap and adélie – along with the emperor, the largest penguin species in the world – are now struggling to survive as melting sea ice destroys nesting sites and reduces vital food sources, such as krill.

I’m so insignificant…I am because there’s the Sun…only then….I can be alive…So it’s the blessings of the Sun that we thrive on… Inspired by the ancient ways of Sun worship in the Hindu faith, religion, mythology and many religions and faiths worldwide.. This painting depicts the five elements, Earth / Water / Air / Sky and / Fire Oil-on-canvas / 36 X 24 inches ...this is what I personaly believe in.. is that there is just ONE God. How come? / This planet earth and the Solar (the sun)syetem sprang from the womb of the sun. (the big bang theory says so as well) it’s probably millions of years after the big bang, life began to spring up on our planet, we human beings were probably the last one to arrive lol:) It is us early human beings that had began to understand that we owe our life to the sun. The sun was the only God until great men and women who preached love, peace harmony amongst us came along and we began to worship them as Gods…it is our own interpretation or misinterpretation of their teachings that we should divide ourselves into religious groups and anyone who’s from another faith should be hated…(so sad) we defeat the very basics of their teachings that the holy men, messengers of God, the great teachers and givers of good to us, in Hinduism we call them Devtas which means ‘The Givers’…some call them prophets…some call them Gods as per their own reasons…For me personally The Sun is the God…If there’s the Sun, Only Then We are… This inspired poem is by a dear and a departed poet HAFIZ … I want both of us / To start talking about this Great Love As if You, I and the Sun were all married / And living in a tiny room. / Helping each other to cook, / Do the wash, / Weave and sew / Care for our beautiful / Animals. We all leave each morning / To labor on the earth’s field. / No one does not lift a great pack.
