Native only to North America and Bermuda, early settlers were captivated by its friendliness and sweet song. Since then it has been associated with love, joy, and the renewal of springtime. Bluebirds are used to commemorate marriages and anniversaries and are considered messengers of good health and contentment. / / This one hunched on our porch and nested in our birdhouse at the beginning of this year. “http://www.greetingcarduniverse.com/community/store.aspstore_id=632&gcu=4158257886”

Dance / Dance like nobody’s watching, love like you’ve never been hurt, sing like nobody’s listening and live like it’s heaven on earth. / attributed to Mark Twain. Around 7 years of age I entered the Madame Borovansky School of Ballet. / where you were taught the Russian style of classical ballet, It was strict, disciplined and often fearsome for a child but the company produced most of Australians greatest ballet dancers. An experiment with water droplets, glitter, a CD, wrapping paper and light. I had some metallic paper reflecting in the CD and the flash from my camera made it very interesting with all the glitter. This is the kind of thing I do when it’s too cold to go outside…. haha. Enjoy!
This was an experiment with objects and how light bounces off of them. I found this spring and put a few seed beads on it which gave off a weird bokeh effect when placed on a CD. I used my sigma macro lens and the flash on my camera… More experimenting to come though! Enjoy!
Another experiment with a spring and using a CD as a reflective background. More experimenting to come with these! :D Enjoy!
An acrylic painting on wooden color palette. The song “Paint My Love” by Michael Learns To Rock happens to be Ophelia The Owl’s favourite love song! :D You can view and buy my other “Paint My Love” creations from my Zazzle Gallery:
I stood in the snow behind the tripod, so quietly that one bird landed on my lens! What joy. I couldn’t actually say we bonded, but I was thrilled. I’ve had birds land on my hat, but never one that I could see so closely. Featured in Alaska ~ Beyond Your Dreams – Thank you! Shot in RAW. Slight curves adjustment, at the suggestion of Eivor. The snowfall made it necessary to bump up the ISO to 320. I tried ISO 640 at one point, but those looked a tad grainy. This is a male Common Redpoll in today’s snowfall. Note snowflake on his back. Our area has so far eluded Mt. Redoubt’s harsh volcanic particles, although Alaska Airlines and FedEx had to suspend all flights in and out yesterday.
