I originally intended this shot to be a picture of my son holding onto these balloons and taking off, floating into up into the sky … a fantasy, sotybook sort of image. However, my daughter immediately grabbed these balloons from him and started running off. So, as it turned out this eded up having a more realistic look than the one I originally intended, but I thought it turned out pretty cute with the desaturated colors throughout, except for the colorful balloons. Sold 2 laminated prints to RB Members.

Emerald Paradise As Is… / Canon PowerShot S3 IS Rainbow Springs Florida’s third largest spring, Rainbow Springs pump 600 million gallons of water daily and serves as the head water to the pristine Rainbow River. The property was acquired by the State Park Service in 1990 and is slowly being allowed to revert to its natural state. / Beautiful floral gardens surround the spring, and the area is immensely popular in the spring when the azaleas are in bloom. The state also acquired Rainbow Springs State Campground, located nearby, which was formerly privately owned. From the campground, you can tube or canoe the crystalline waters of Rainbow River, or fish for large mouth bass and other freshwater species. / A nature trail provides a lovely walk past two waterfalls and the azalea gardens, and meanders along the Rainbow River. / /

As always, full size is recommended for your viewing pleasure Another one of my little pool buddies … this time hanging out in the liriope leaves. I love the look on his face … so full of honor and dignity!!! VERY princely, yes?? As always, after a minute or two of snaps, he was placed gently on the ground under the leaves to join his brothers and sisters and happily hunt yummy bugs for breakfast. Image taken with the Nikon D300 and the 60mm Nikon Micro/macro lens at 1/10 shutter, f/11.0 aperture. A bit of tinkering in Photoshop on this one mainly dodging and burning, also cropped. This was taken up at the Ornamental Gardens in Summerland BC, shortly prior to my run-in with the sleeping bears. I was sad to cut my photo taking short, as the colours were absolutely crazy beautiful! This is a very busy image…...and it breaks all the rules…..but what the heck :)
