This is my favorite photo of all! There is a wild red rose by my kitchen door. Late one afternoon, I was clipping tired blooms from the clusters; some clusters were hanging down. As I reached for this one to turn it over, a glimpse of gold flashed in the low sun. I looked again and discovered this tiny little frog napping in the heart of the bloom. I had only the negative and a small digital file from a scan, and it has taken me a month to get it into the appropriate high-resolution format where I can finally offer it for sale! Sales of this Design? – 4 sales so far :) / Hidden Treasure is a mixed media production on hardboard. Included in the mix are moulding paste for the eggs, gold and bronze paint, silver thread, fabric, charcoal, ink, pastel and acrylic with a gloss varnish over the eggs. / There is a poem in the background in gold cursive handwriting, which reads: Hidden Treasure Golden eggs are not always easy to find / Sometimes they lay hidden in the pockets of our seams / Sometimes we have to look beyond the obvious to see / the beauty in others~ traits of kindness, compassion, nurture and / gentleness are not always obvious at first glance and / what one may perceive as a fault or weakness / may actually be a great strength. Louisville, Kentucky USA 21 April 2008 10:06 PM EST This shot was NOT easy due to another photographer trying to take this same night shot using a flash. From this vantage point, the city is one mile away. He ruined 5 of my long exposures with his flash. Finally, I politely ask him to please let me get one good shot. / MCN: C30-NP3U-4430

When I visit my Mom in Pembroke we love to visit Pansy Patch Park. It is surrounded by a forest and is such a beautiful and inspirational place, especially in the fall when all the leaves are changing colors. The original image has been modified into a work of art – bringing out, I hope, what my spirit sees, not necessarily everything the lens does. An interpretation of a real life experience… This painting was inspired by the episode of Lord Shiva and Maa Kaali in the Hindu mythology……an unstoppable dance of destruction…so Lord Shiva had to lie down in Maa Kaali’s way to put an end to this…She stumbles…her tongue juts out in remorse…as she realizes that She was about to step on the Lord, Her Creator Himself…as the legend goes… Original / Oil-on-canvas / 24 X 20 inches

Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery “Daffodils” (1804) I wander’d lonely as a cloud / That floats on high o’er vales and hills, / When all at once I saw a crowd, / A host, of golden daffodils; / Beside the lake, beneath the trees, / Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. / Continuous as the stars that shine / And twinkle on the Milky Way, / They stretch’d in never-ending line / Along the margin of a bay: / Ten thousand saw I at a glance, / Tossing their heads in sprightly dance. / The waves beside them danced; but they / Out-did the sparkling waves in glee: / A poet could not but be gay, / In such a jocund company: / I gazed - and gazed - but little thought / What wealth the show to me had brought: / For oft, when on my couch I lie / In vacant or in pensive mood, / They flash upon that inward eye / Which is the bliss of solitude; / And then my heart with pleasure fills, / And dances with the daffodils. By William Wordsworth (1770-1850)
