This is Erigeron philadelphicus, aka Fleabane, cute lil daisy like weed, about the size of my thumb. I’ll probally change the name later. [NOTE: I did finally change the name from Erigeron philadelphicus to Keeping it Simple, lame I know, but better than it’s scientific name, right?] I like the simplicity of this picture, but it almost seems like something should be written in the left side. But I just don’t know what. I think it would make a nice card. This piece was featured in the Michigan Outdoors Group. Boston Harbour very early morning with a lovely but fast moving mist gave the scene a lovely orange glow, I had just enough time in between lens changes to catch the rowers passing by. Canon 10D, 17-40mm at 17mm, f/4, 1/1500 sec, ISO 100. No filters used. A small amount of dust and scratches removed in photoshop. Back to Canon to get the sensor cleaned. It was such a lovely day in Clevedon, UK. I had seen a picture a friend took of the pier and was trying to recreate it in colour. I hope you like it. Note to self, always were suncream on a sunny day, ouch. Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 70mm, f/16, 1/100 sec, ISO 100. No filters used. I wanted to get a photograph the waterfalls in Pontneddfechan, Wales. I did some research, planned my route in the GPS and packed my kit. The chap in the waterfall centre was very helpful and was keen to tell me the proper welsh name of the waterfalls. I smiled and nodded, I still don’t have a clue to this day what he was talking about. Unfortunately I lost the map I bought and stupidly brought along my bicycle for quick access. Bad move. I had to carry my bicycle for most of the 10 miles round trip and also had to transverse a waterfall as I got stuck on the wrong side of the river and watched a load of guys in wetsuits try to walk behind the waterfalls and fail. All good fun. / This is my first attempt at taking wateralls so please be gentle. Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 50mm, f/20, 2.5 sec, ISO 50. ND filter used. A pretty stormy evening in Clevedon, UK so I fancied capturing some timed exposures and hoped to not get too wet. This time I had my tripod, I hope you like it. Greeting Cards / Framed Print / Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 24mm, f/11, .6 sec, ISO 50100. ND 9 filter used. Photomatix conversion (first time I used it) and dust and scratches removed in photoshop, chromatic abs removed by magic brush. Digital fine art photo painting of a little country girl admiring the beauty of a single bloom in a wildflower field. Featured in Digital Brushstrokes, October 9, 2009. This digital art consists of 4 layered images from my personal library, including one texture layer. The little girl’s hair was created from scratch and then the entire piece was digitally painted in Corel Painter X using a Wacom tablet prior to adding additional texture & a subtle posterizing filter in Photoshop.
