  • She was being so gentle with the pigeons, and was oblivious to all around her. This was taken in St Marks Square, Venice on a Winter’s morning. Created from the original photograph, a textured background, two different scratch brushes and then a lomo/cross processing layer for colour effect. / The corners were burnt in to create interest. The photographs from our European trip have all lended themselves to being grunge or texture processed, due to the dull winter colours and rain. I think it gives the viewer an idea of how it felt to actually be there. Featured in Red Bubble Home Page

  • This little finch found a place of safety on the bannister under my front porch during a chilly, rainy day. In fact, if you View Larger, you can detect a few raindrops on her tiny noggin. With her feathers all fluffed up, she looked cute and cozy and a bit plump so I called her Roly Poly. Maybe, like many of us, she’s thinking, “Got to shed some of that extra baggage in the upcoming New Year.” Oh, and one more thing, don’t you just love those tiny talons peeking out from her feathers? Looks like she’s just had a pedicure and she’s showing off her dainty toes!

  • Another peacock feather pic. Ive always been fascinated with the colours of peacocks, and the way they fan their tail feathers out. They are one of the most magnificent looking birds. Taken with a Canon 5D and 100-400mm L Series Lens. Could make a nice greeting card?

  • CLICK HERE to buy this owl from the Phoenix-Appeal raising money for victims of the Victoria Bush Fires This little owl is currently trying to help raise some much needed funds to aid and assist people who have fallen victim to the dreadful bush fires in Victoria at the moment ….the card is available for purchase at Phoenix-Appeal and I would ask that you click on the link and purchase the owl from there instead, so the money will go directly to the appeal…. / 1 Sale so far / / CHUNKIE Mother and Boy Child / / CHUNKIE Calendar Series One now available / / Chunkies are a new series of figurines I am working on .. / / CHUNKIE Birthday Fairy / / CHUNKIE Owl / / CHUNKIE Lotus Love on Golden Pond / / CHUNKIE Sunshine / / CHUNKIE / Elephant / / CHUNKY Diver / / CHUNKY Indian / / CHUNKIE Surfer / / CHUNKIE Ballerina / / CHUNKIE Geisha / / CHUNKIES in love / / CHUNKIE Hula girl / / CHUNKIE China / / CHUNKIE Lollipop Lover / / CHUNKIE Forest / / CHUNKIE Party / / CHUNKIE Pirate / / CHUNKIE Mod Girl / / CHUNKIE Tooth Fairy / / CHUNKIE Mother and Child / / CHUNKIE Wedding / Next in line is CHUNKIE Owl – made originally from black plasticine, he has been photographed with a number of things like bits of forest floor and pebbles and sand…also used a beautiful piece of coral which is the white branches behind the little owl…his eyes, face and wings are all photoshopped in, and his little body’s colour has changed to give it a golden glow. Makes a nice greeting card for anyone for any reason, since owls are very popular. Once the Chunkies are created and photographed, I usually dismantle them to be used in the creation of more chunkies, so I am recycling the plasticine. These Chunkies have been very therapeutic to create over the holidays, whilst taking a break from red bubble and having my family around. I have many more to come, and although I won’t be on RB as much, I hope to also be doing some serious painting this year…so i look forward 2009 with much anticipation …

  • I stood in the snow behind the tripod, so quietly that one bird landed on my lens! What joy. I couldn’t actually say we bonded, but I was thrilled. I’ve had birds land on my hat, but never one that I could see so closely. Featured in Alaska ~ Beyond Your Dreams – Thank you! Shot in RAW. Slight curves adjustment, at the suggestion of Eivor. The snowfall made it necessary to bump up the ISO to 320. I tried ISO 640 at one point, but those looked a tad grainy. This is a male Common Redpoll in today’s snowfall. Note snowflake on his back. Our area has so far eluded Mt. Redoubt’s harsh volcanic particles, although Alaska Airlines and FedEx had to suspend all flights in and out yesterday.
