.... you know who you are !!!! ... and I have a whole month to gloat … again …. ;-) And from that other site that you’ve probably forgotten all about…. just in case you don’t look over there at all any more: I’d love to have written a poem or two / But it’s really too early to see one through / My brain’s out of gear / And I’d hate you to hear / Lack of rhyme as I say “Happy Birthday to you!!”
Just a kind of old image I found… a water droplet on a peacock feather with large glitter pieces. I took this outside with my flash as well… along with my macro lens and extension tubes. Enjoy!
Daffodills blooming in May after a heavy Illinois Spring rain,
/ / / Tree of LIfe TShirt TREE OF LIFE on sage / from my new “Collections”series using pencils and mainly dry media on paper Medium – pastels, pencils, marker pen / Substrate – paper / Photoshop – background altered from white to sage inspired by nature / and our connection with same / this is one of my latest pencil drawings / on a recent holiday i rediscovered a love for drawing and detail / i spent time observing nature and recording it Many of these artworks come from a time of reflection and meditation / I cannot say exactly where they’re coming from, but they are somewhat visionary, a bit self portraity and depict what’s going on in my heart and my life. I hope you like them and thank you for looking :)
Taken on Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam / Canon 10D / Canon 100mm Macro lens
Beautiful Macro shot of a Daffodil

The second in what I am calling my Dew Drop Darlings series…lol…three shots that I just love that are simply green plants and leaves from my wildflower garden that I caught with amazing dew orbs. Taken with my Nikon P80 18X times optical zoom with macro and 2 x telephoto addition.
Dripping Daffodil, trying to get some sun after the nights frost and morning fog.

Macro close-up of rain drops on variegated grass – square collection.
The refraction in the droplet is from a picture on a card placed a little distance behind the water droplet. The droplet is on a feather. No photoshopping apart from cropping and adding text.

Captured on 11/29/09 in my rose garden in northern, California….we have been having temps in the upper 60s and low 70s for about a week or more (but frosts in the morings) ; all of my roses are blooming again and I think that they believe Spring has arrived, even though, we have had no / Winter to speak of. This is one of my small Tea Roses and is one of my favorites – I hope you enjoy it as well. As with all my work, this image is copyright protected and registered – please respect copyrights. / /
