  • www.danadipasquale.com / O ME! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; / Of the endless trains of the faithless—of cities fill’d with the foolish; / Of myself forever reproaching myself, (for who more foolish than I, and who more faithless?) / Of eyes that vainly crave the light—of the objects mean—of the struggle ever renew’d; / Of the poor results of all—of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around me; / Of the empty and useless years of the rest—with the rest me intertwined; / The question, O me! so sad, recurring—What good amid these, O me, O life? / / Answer. That you are here—that life exists, and identity; / That the powerful play goes on, and you will contribute a verse. - Walt Whitman

  • Everyone seems to be in a rush to get to somewhere in Tokyo….. Hey guys. I’m back from a little holiday I took. I went to some amazing places so i’ll start posting photos again. I’ll post them in a chronological order in order of the places i visited. / I packed my bag with the Canon 400d + the Tamron 17-55mm (a good all round lens) + a polariser. First stop was Tokyo. It might take me some time to catch up on everyone’s photos, but i will get there. Looking forward to catching up with everyone soon. Luka.

  • A corolla winding its way down the Lake Mountain Road back towards Marysville in Victoria’s Yarra Ranges. Taken with my Canon 40D… finally! Processed in Adobe Photoshop CS and Lightroom 2. Sales 1 Matted Print Featured in the Transport group on the 15th of April 2009 On Saturday the 7th of February my family lost our home away from home at Marysville, as well as our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks and our Abyssinian cat. My condolences go to anyone who also lost family, friends or property on this terrible weekend, and I know deep down that Marysville will be back and better than ever, in the near future… Click here for my other photos of cars! • Another shot of the Bay Bridge over looking San Francisco. Also if you look on the bridge you can see a police vehicle swerving across lanes to slow traffic.

  • In 2003 my wife, her sister, her friend and I flew to Paris. I was so excited because I had gotten a small taste of France in the ‘70s when I was stationed in Germany and had been dieing to get back. Visually a photographer’s dream shoot location. We were lost as soon as we stepped off the plane. My wife claimed she took 4 semesters of French and passed, yet when spoked to in French and I looked at her she would shrug her shoulders. So none of us spoke French. But we managed. We walked 90% of the time and I carried a back pack with a Nikon N-90s, Nikon 8008s, 20,35,50,135,180, and 500 MM lenses, tons of film, flash, tripod and my trusty Holga. (By the way, I was out of work 4 weeks recovering from a neck injury from carrying this backpack.) I had semi-planned ahead, knowing we were going to walk, for the series “A Walk Through Paris”. As we walked, I shot, crossed items off my list and we walked some more. This series was shot with a Holga camera, held together with a lot of black tape. Processed, scanned and then tinted with my custom sepia like action in Adobe Photoshop.
