Just a classic car in classic black & white. Personally, I thought the grill on this behemoth looked pretty badass.

Traffic in Berlin City.
New York in the wee hours of the morning. August 2007 This photo is so “New York” to me.. yellow cab, bright lights and the feel of a fast paced life. Hope you enjoy.
Snow swept across the Isle of Wight for the first time in a long time, earlier this month…

The film counter window on my Holga thought the car wasn’t red enough.
I was out shooting with a student the other day and sadly a load of our pictures got corrupted by a bad data link between my CF card-reader and the PC. This one survived, with a few others. Amazing weather that afternoon; thunder, lightning, torrential rain. Great drama.
O ME! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; / Of the endless trains of the faithless—of cities fill’d with the foolish; / Of myself forever reproaching myself, (for who more foolish than I, and who more faithless?) / Of eyes that vainly crave the light—of the objects mean—of the struggle ever renew’d; / Of the poor results of all—of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around me; / Of the empty and useless years of the rest—with the rest me intertwined; / The question, O me! so sad, recurring—What good amid these, O me, O life? / / Answer. That you are here—that life exists, and identity; / That the powerful play goes on, and you will contribute a verse. - Walt Whitman

I got here a little earlier than most times and there were some shoppers going to catch trains or trams. The traffic on the road was a little more than usual showing how the trams are restricted to the centre of the road with only two lanes of traffic passing between them and the footpath 20091215 108 views

You are looking at the result of a fun collaborative effort. A lovely young family friend was leaving our home very late Sunday night. She noticed the beautiful lighting effect of the traffic lights in the fog down the street. She came back to borrow a camera. I then grabbed my camera and tripod and we went out to see if we could capture the moment. The police thought we looked a bit “out of place” and stopped to talk to us… (I should have said “talk to her”, she’s very attractive!) Satisfied that we weren’t causing any trouble, the officer asked if we would prefer the light to change to red. “Sure!”, we said. The two patrolmen drove around the block, tripped the automatic traffic light sensor and then turned off their headlamps so they wouldn’t ruin the shot. As the officer pulled away, he said ”...to protect and serve!” Special THANKS to Karley! This is her vision. This photo was taken with a Canon EOS 10D with a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Prime lens. The shutter speed was 1/6th sec at f/4, no flash. The camera’s ISO was set to 1,600. A Manfrotto tripod was used. The photo is straight from the camera, as-is. This shot was captured at the corner of High Street and 7th Avenue, in the city of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, USA. Your comments are always welcome! S-M-S Takumar 135/3.5 on Pentax k20D. This is one excellent lens! I love the 3d effect this produces at the right dof.
