This old FRAMO built until 1957 in Hainichen and Frankenberg, Germany and was one of the sights on a phototour I took with some other photographers from my photoclub. Taken in Steinfurt, Germany.
A close up of the front of the old girl in “Past It”. Although seeing as she is “Austin” perhaps it should be the old boy!!

This photograph was taken in the outback near Cobar in New South Wales, Australia.
Bodie Ghost Town still has a few old cars lying around so I used this one’s windshield to frame a portion of the town.

A burnt out car wreck I found in a local forest… and I was supposed to be looking for nice things to photograph! Humanity is destroying the Earth and killing its soul with its greed and disrepect… but if history is any indication Mother Earth will fight back and eventually out live us all. Our buildings will crumble, our cars rust and our bodies turn to dust…and the scars we have left will heal.

This is the Chrome grill from the auto in this series called Pinkie from my show called OldBoyToys a look at the autos of a collector. As you can see the grill back in the 1930 to 1970s were a work of art in its self often the reason a person would by a car was to have this grill as a symbol of who they were! It was quite striking to see something as bright and as bold come at you in the night blazing with full headlights reflecting off of its front bumper!
Looks better enlarged.

From my new series “Rotting Away” / t amazes me that this old iron still lingers on. I captured this beauty behind a body shop. Will it live again? Only rust and time will tell… Processed as a HDR it would make a beautiful card or picture to hang on any wall. Best viewed at full size! Abstract Macro Photography The picture below is a stolen, burnt out car. / This is showing the rear right side. / You can see what has been produced by the fire / Armley Woods, Leeds. / sunday 31.5.09 / 7.15am / For all these phenomina to appear on the car, the car has been left on fire, and eventually, there is nothing left on the car to burn, so it just dies out. the paint work on the car , bubbles up and seperates itself from the metal at very hot temperatures. / Once it is all cool down, it is very delicate. / You just blow the flakey paint lightly, and this abstract art lies beneath. / If the car had been put out by water, im pretty sure that no abstracts would have appeared.
Amazes me every time I take these shots how unique and different they are from the last..and still its just rust and graffiti on another train car..sorta looks like something flaming towards earth.. Nikon D90 / 18-200 MM VR lens
Another in my series of burnt out cars, shot on a hot humid Saturday afternoon. I find the colors quite fascinating … dozens of shots yet all so different. Shot with Nikon D90 with 60mm Nikon macro lens, 1/80s f/16 /
