Again, another shot from Paso Robles – “Portrait of a Hot Rod Couple” – no that’s not Chris Isaak in the front seat…. however, I think he might have spent just as much time on his hair! The amount of beautifully painted machines around the couple is jaw dropping for me…. I’m defintely coming back here next year!

Same T shirt design as the original one I did on white background, but it looks better on a black shirt in my opinion. / In case you hadn’t guessed this is the Super-charger as seen on the much modified Australian Ford Falcon XB muscle car from the Mad Max films. Haven’t seen it? Well you’re missing out on a real treat. Go and rent it! The caption is the line from Jim Goose, Max’s best mate in the film.

A recent digital work on CS2. I love Rat Rod culture. This image was inspired by WWII aircraft and some work I’ve seen recently that develops USAF themes on Hot Rods.

This is not a photograph but my artwork, the car was built from scratch using autocad photoshop and maya. And I put the ground and background in as well. / Looks real lifelike aye! / Im so pleased of building this, as im a big fan of 3d artwork and hotrods. Hope you like it, took me a long time to do this.

Like waiting for judgement say, there they stood, in all their glory….40s era Fords, Oldsmobile’s, Pontiac’s, Chevy’s….awaiting the rodders touch to be sculptured in lead, and reincarnated into a new life as a hotrod. Sadly, as much as I love this place, it is now forever gone. I did many shoots at Classical Gas in Eaton, Colorado….and now it is just a memory….it is forever closed as the owner has recently passed away. I was lucky enough to have been here as often as I could…preserving it forever with my camera. And while it is an older shot, it seems just like yesterday I was standing there taking this….time stands still…...much as it did for the classic 40s Detroit iron….... I drew this for a good friend of mine Ron; who loves rods, and has a pretty wicked imagination. I was trying to imagine a place where all the cars and characters that only ever existed in our imaginations reside. A parallel world, inspired by stories from Stephen King and T.V. shows like The Twilight Zone… I drew it as a rough pen sketch and then painted it in P’Shop.
