  • Photograph. Taken near Mt Field National Park, Tasmania.

  • One of many in a recent photo shoot. My niece wanted some “glamour” type photos. This was the first time I had been approached to do sexy shots. Thankfully, I had a hot model with some intuitive moves. :) I found that giving direction to my subjects is an area I really need to work on. I do the makeup, the lighting, get the settings adjusted on the camera but then when it’s “shoot time” I’m like a student choking on the test, drawing a blank. I have no problem bossing my husband around-LoL-but I don’t like bossing others around…a catch 22 because direction is exactly what the subject is looking for from me. Guess I just need to get over it! All of my newer portraits are shot against a green screen with the background keyed out and a digital one dropped into place. Perspective is changed on a portion of the background for depth when doing full body shots along with adding any necessary shadows or lighting effects.

  • This photo was taken of my beautiful model, pregnant and showing the beauty of motherhood.

  • Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy and Edgar Kennedy from Laurel and Hardy’s 1927 silent- ‘Leave ‘em Laughing’. Drawn by L K Southward- Iconic Art UK.

  • Well it’s Joe. “Normally you would not do this to the underside of a car”, or at least that’s what Joe told me that day but I needed some light in his alley garage so as he wanted to have a smoke anyway he lit up this torch and then we went to work on this car, except we didn’t touch it, really mister, your car is fine. Shot in Clontarf, Dublin at Joe Murphy Motors in 1991 or 1992.

  • Another photo from my Stories for Ella album. I make the stories so that we can read them together at the bedtime. If you like this one, the other photos in the series can be found here

  • While out shooting I stumbled upon a car that puts all other cars to shame in terms of looks. This Audi R8 was parked on the Quayside. I would happily trade my wife in for one of these :D (Nah only joking)

  • Promo Shoot for Paige’s Debut Album. / Let’s Cross Our Fingers and Wish Her The Best Of Luck!

  • I just love these old Cuban automobiles ;-) Paintings is made in Painter X

  • A series of very old photographs taken by my great-grandfather and grandfather who founded Souvenir Photo Studio in the early 1900’s, in Radville, Saskatchewan. Emile Jalbert married Therese Bourassa shortly after this photo was taken. Emile served overseas and was rescued at Dunkirk. He never spoke much about his horrific war experiences. I assume the photo is around 1945.

  • Portrait of cars, watercolor and watercolor pencil / On watercolor paper 22×30” / Ford Mustang cars at 30th Anniversary / Commission / This is a piece I did a while back celebrating Ford Mustang 30th Anniversary and a Logo I designed

  • This series of Mammatus clouds where taken on December 27 2004 just as a really big summer thunderstorm had formed over my house. From what I read, the Mammatus clouds are caused by ice in the clouds becoming heavy and causing the cloud to sag. A very rare site! EOS 20D. • I didn’t have a title for this for quite some time and was just going to put it up as “Untitled” when Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain” came on my media player and I just knew then the perfect name for the image. There are various layers with the high pass and rough pastels filters and different blends in this image. My favourite texture – “Rendered” – was used, blended using multiply and partially erased. Featured in Textures Unlimited Dan, I don’t mean to say you’re vain, it just suited the pic! :) You’re So Vain by Carly Simon You walked into the party / Like you were walking onto a yacht / Your hat strategically dipped below one eye / Your scarf it was apricot / You had one eye in the mirror / As you watched yourself gavotte / And all the girls dreamed that they’d be your partner / They’d be your partner, and You’re so vain / You probably think this song is about you / You’re so vain / I’ll bet you think this song is about you / Don’t you?
