While wandering around a multi storey car park in / Docklands, Melbourne, looking for shots, I looked / over the edge to see this site. I only had until the lights / turned green to capture this amazing colour quirk. / Nothing added and no colours changed, / seven red cars caught in time…. /
Just a brilliant unplanned moment on the street when I was fortunate enough to “have the camera rolling”... / Geneva, 2006.
This guy was pretty cool, sitting there minding his own business, and I just had to get the shot. But as I lifted the camera and looked through the lens he just broke into this mean stare into the lens like he was gonna hurt me. I saw it and quickly pressed the shutter. Later I complimented him on his tattoos and showed him the shot and it was then that his frown turned into a broad grin…phew!

Not a unique subject, just my interpretation. / / HDR image / / Camera – Canon 350D / Lens – 24-85mm USM / Focal length – 66mm / Exposure – Aperture Priority / Aperture – f/4.5 / Shutter – (-1 stop) 2 seconds, (0) 4 seconds, (+1 stop) 8 seconds / ISO – 100 / Tripod and cable release / / © Andrew Brown Cards / Urban and Architecture / Panorama / Landscape / Portraiture / Macro
A continuation of the ‘car park’ theme. This one was inspired by Enrico Bettesworth’s ‘Underworld’ and Andrew Brown’s ‘Underground’. My challenge was to interpret this site differently from those two artists. I hope I have been partially successful in achieving this.
