  • Miranda Car Park HDR
    by alexkess

    US$5.70–US$152.00

The only song I thought of when I did the HDR processing was “End of the World” by REM. It’s the end of the World as we know it and I feel fine… I took my Camera to Miranda Fair (our local shopping centre) today, because I was hoping to catch a few glimpses of the big storm brewing over Sydney. Instead I ended up with this.

  • My second rendition of this shot…..I will miss this place as it has now closed down…sad….at least I was able to capture it while I could. HDR and LucisArt used in processing John

  • The Sleeper
    by Peter Marin

    US$4.84–US$129.20

Another from my walk around at the hot rod meet, apologies if you are sick of them already but I have an addiction (and a slight twitch). / For this shot I waited until I got a clean break from people passing by in front of the camera (you know how it is). / A HDR of coarse, from 3 exposurres 2 stops apart, blar blar. Loaded into Photomatix and fine tuned the tonemapping. From there I opened up in PSCS3 and decided to go a slightly different route from my normal workflow for a HDR file. Decided to try hitting it with the noise filter (Noiseware by Imagenomic) first up off the bat so to speakand also cranck up the sharpening setting from within NW, something I’d usually do at the end of processing these kind of files. Then applied a gentle ‘S’ curve adjustment layer, dialed down the saturation but pumped up the red’s only. Last of all I hit it with my HighPass Sharpen action I made up, it’s nice and subtle. I made it by duping the orig layer, then apply HighPass at about .3 or .4, then change the layer blending mode to Vivid Light, some folks use Overlay but i choose not to. / Thats basically my entire workflow on this shot, hope it answers some question you may of had. / All the best

  • Like waiting for judgement say, there they stood, in all their glory….40s era Fords, Oldsmobile’s, Pontiac’s, Chevy’s….awaiting the rodders touch to be sculptured in lead, and reincarnated into a new life as a hotrod. Sadly, as much as I love this place, it is now forever gone. I did many shoots at Classical Gas in Eaton, Colorado….and now it is just a memory….it is forever closed as the owner has recently passed away. I was lucky enough to have been here as often as I could…preserving it forever with my camera. And while it is an older shot, it seems just like yesterday I was standing there taking this….time stands still…...much as it did for the classic 40s Detroit iron….... Thoughts welcomed, print to come. Processed with PS, DCE HDR, and LucisArt. —-—-—-—-— See more on my website jdebordphoto.com

  • Old Trails
    by amarica

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Well, we finally got moved to Arizona. Still have a lot of unpacking to do. Got a chance to go out to Oatman, an old west town just outside of Bullhead City. Got a chance to take a few pictures. This one is of an old car outside an antique shop on Boundary Cone Road just before you get into Oatman. Oatman is known for it’s burro population that roams freely on the streets and into the local shops. It is a popular tourist site. I processed the image in hdr. • Black River Western
    by Mike Savad

    US$4.28–US$114.00

    Watching the Trains

  • Location: Fairfield California / Technique: HDR

  • I love 58 Chevy’s…one of my favorite cars. An old shot that I was able to salvage because of my editing skills improving. Needless to say I am happy I was able to! Now generally as a rule of thumb, I would KO the powerlines, but this time I left them in intentionally. Why? Well I started to KO them then went back, after noticing that without them, the telephone pole is just kinda strange and they add a sense of perspective in this shot. Processed with Photoshop, LucisArts, Virtual Photographer, about 7 layers, and custom color retro actions using curves. —-—-—-—-—-- / More of my work can be seen on my website at http://jdebordphoto.com / All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved.
