A recent digital work on CS2. I love Rat Rod culture. This image was inspired by WWII aircraft and some work I’ve seen recently that develops USAF themes on Hot Rods.
Tell me about your red boots. / These boots are made by Alannah Hill (who is not particularly one of my favourite designers but I fell in love with these boots at first sight!) I think they are just perfect! I love the colour, the brooch and the red ribbons. They are just so me! Unfortunately they are not the easiest heel to walk in so I don’t get to wear them too much, and I like to save them for special occasions so they have a bigger impact on the people who see / them! What’s the story behind you getting them? / Like all of my shoes, they were an impulse buy. I just can’t help but whip out my credit card when I see new shoes! My friend was working at the store where I purchased them at the time so I got them a little cheaper which helped sweeten the deal! So, why exactly do you love shoes so much? / I need one in every colour to go with my outfits, every style for different comfort levels, moods and seasons. Shoes to go with stockings and classic vintage heels that every girl must own! I can’t part with shoes, they have to be broken beyond repair or stolen from me. This is a compilation of 3 layers by using photoshop cs2 I simply made a background layer using black and then used a glitterato filter for the sky background effects, I then took the car layer and added this layer to the background layer, then added another layer consisting of the moon, I dropped the opacity of the moon for blending. then added a flood filter… Then using Corel I simply added a fractilius filter, then I also added a seamless tile effect.. / Hope you like it… / /
“Time Traveler” Photography & Artwork / by Holly Kempe © An old farm “horse” (Chevrolet truck) that now spends its / days as a mobile fruit and vegetable stall on the side of / the road at Gumlu, a little town on a desolate / stretch of the highway between Bowen and Home Hill. / The Chevy serves its retirement days well displaying / luscious mangoes and firm ripe tomatoes on its canvas / covered tray tempting highway travelers to stop and / sample its succulent wares. / Still bright eyed, it leaves its roadside vigil each day at / dusk to meander its way back along a dusty track to its / owners nearby farm. / Hopefully the old Time Traveler will see many more / daily trips up and down memory lane so that others can / enjoy its presence while reminiscing of days gone by. “Gosh that takes me back… or is it forward? / That’s the trouble with time travel, you never / can tell.” / ~ Dr. Who Time Traveler was featured in the: Image Writing group – Jan 09

Just for grins, here is the very first original Blue Man, before he had any personality, but he did have a rocking street rod, those wheels all turn 90 degrees and become steerable thrusters so he can do a verticle takeoff, even close that bubble top and fly out of the atmosphere to his craft. You’ve come a long way, oh shiny one!!
