I’m finally at the end of my journey – and our final destination is Paso Robles (just 4 hours north of LA), yes, I’ve been to Italy, the Greek Islands etc, however, this is the biggy for me…. the West Coast Kustom Nationals – touted as the biggest and best kustom car show in the USA. And, can I say I’m not disappointed, it’s like swimming in a land of the best and coolest cars in the world, (pity I don’t have my 57 Cadillac with me).... Now this car is exactly as it appears here – not tricky Photoshop work at all… it has had 6 inches chopped from the roof and also the bottom of the car… It’s a driver and is actually staying at the hotel I’m staying at. As I’m writing this, I’m wearing a “Noble Fabrications” black T-Shirt given to me and my daughter as a present from the friendly driver. How cool is that! I am also photographing the 3-day event for an Australian magazine called “Hot Rod Revival” – so I’ll try and restrain myself and only upload one or two images as I don’t want to bore you all…. Anyway, how cool is this car!

First of all, big kudos go to fellow bubbler Kevin Kroeker, who gave me a great idea of some add’l post processing steps which I had not tried before, until this image. This kinda jumps off the screen at you, so duck. :-) I don’t know about you, but I really like this. Of course I’m prejudice. The car is real, from a car show I went to.The rest is added features from Flaming Pear software, such as Flood, Glare, and Organic Edges.

This is the Chrome grill from the auto in this series called Pinkie from my show called OldBoyToys a look at the autos of a collector. As you can see the grill back in the 1930 to 1970s were a work of art in its self often the reason a person would by a car was to have this grill as a symbol of who they were! It was quite striking to see something as bright and as bold come at you in the night blazing with full headlights reflecting off of its front bumper!
