This is a bit different from my usual stuff…..but change is good…..for a little while, anyway. / / This shot is actually a mistake – thought I had zoomed out when infact I hadn’t and at first glance I assumed I had missed what I was aiming for….this is what I found when I put my images on the computer….I like it. / / I haven’t done a thing to it – this is the 100% original file…. / / / / / / / / /
we were out for a walk on the quayside in Newcastle and the gulls were going crazy, managed to get this one catching a piece of bread and even managed to get half the tyne bridge in !!!! lucky or what :-)
Taken in Lower Austria, near my Hometown “Ybbs”
An image i came across today that i took in the summer and it made start to think of those wonderful days on the beach and reflect upon childhood again.
The shackled him up with the big ball and chain because of his downright ugly striped shirt. Or maybe because he tried to steal some pirate booty, I dunno. Either way he’s walking the plank.
Nude self portrait.

“Listen a hundred times; ponder a thousand times; speak once.” / - TURKISH PROVERB My son Kane had no idea I was photographing him at this time…He was just wondering sweetly along a path in a local parkland area when suddenly he stopped and leaned on the fence. I honestly could not believe what I was seeing through my viewfinder when he did it. Then when I saw the photograph it just blew me away. Kane is 3 years old in this photograph. This is my all time favourite photograph I’ve taken with my DSLR to date. Played with the colour version in photoshop and am very pleased with the outcome. (black and white ) This was taken with my 300mm Canon lense. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WINNER of the LIVE LOVE DREAM Feel the Emotion Challenge WINNER OF WEEKLY CHALLENGE ○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○ /
This is my first photomanipulation I have done in years. I figured I would go with something simple. Brushes: hair, wings, flowers, photo texture. (my own private collection) Woman I was inspired a bit by the Cottington Fairies. I may explore that bit more in my manip’s if I decide to do more. Featured in: / Faerie World: April 2009

This photo has not been cross-processed properly, apparently. However, I’d never heard of cross-processing until recently. I’ve read that the term started by developing color print or slide film in the wrong chemicals – for example, color negative film in slide chemicals or slide film by the color negative process. This causes wild color and contrast shifts and requires lots of trial and error. for more, see Dana DiPasquale’s forum page. Apparently a group exists for cross-processing experts, as well. / / However, playing with the RGB channels certainly stretched my tendency for more realistic, staid photos! I played with this photo last night using Sue Wickham’s method and the tutorial that Mary Campbell posted. I used curves and RGB channels in Photoshop and Nikon’s Capture NX2.1 software. / / This is the Capture NX2 version, with a bit of a vignette blur from efex. Original: Nikon D200, Nikkor 70-300mm, 145mm, f/5.6, 1/1000sec, -0.3ev., ISO 200, manual exposure, / Converted from 12-bit RAW to jpeg. Manfrotto tripod. / 2025×3037px
This sister image is here and there you will find a story littered with history and love… I had to take all this photo’s upside down as the wind kept blowing them up the wrong way! was quite interesting… don’t you just love old photo’s.. nowadays these textured and edited pictures are our “old” images but the real old ones are far better! :) Featured on the feature page / Young Enthusiasts / Featured Features
