In the mood for realism and I’m a little bit hungry… / Used a section of a stock photo for reference, just can’t remember where I got it owo;;

This is part of a series of food images, shot almost abstract. It was really enjoyable producing the shots.

This is painted in acrylic on stretched canvas. I love to paint vegetables and fruit in glass and silver. I like the transparency of the crystal with the distorted green capsicum showing through. A red hot chili pepper (Ball Chili)

Was walking home today and spotted this red capsicum on the rocks along the Brisbane River. Used a little selective colourisation to really emphasise the red capsicum. Shame really – would have been lovely in a salad before it got all wrinkly.

Habaneros chilis - very, very hot - sun-drying in a purpose-built rack. These are the last rays of the afternoon sun. Central Victoria, Australia.

Drawing, pastels on paper / This artwork was a gift for a cafe where I previously worked. / I unfortunately took the photograph after the image was framed, and have light reflection, apologies from me. / I used a collection of things found in the fridge, with a spare white platter, and was amazed at the way it turned out, having never painted vegetables before, or anything that small!
