From a magical winter afternoon on the Isle of Capri near Naples, Italy. It was our last day in the area, and we only had a few hours on Capri. When we reached the summit to see Villa Jovis, home to the ancient Roman Emperors, it was closed, but through the kindness of a local, we got in anyway. / This view must be why emperors of ancient Roma built palaces here, and I know it’s why this will not be the last time I see Capri.

This image was part of a series that i was putting together for some ideas for a new Capri. The image was trying to suggest a cleaner future (clean fuel etc.) as well hint at some of the romance of the automotive industry in the 1950’s perhaps.

.....Is what ford said when the were advertising the Capri, they really were good motors, i had several of these in my younger days, fom 1.3 to a 3.0 John Player Special and a Brooklands 280, the last special edition before they ceased to manufacture these superb machines. / this was taken this morning in the rain at our local heritage centre Classic Car show.

The walk down to Marina Piccola was openned again this year after 32 years. It’s called Via Krupp after the man who created it and it is known as the most beautiful road in the world – I agree. Even the trees are trying to get into the blue blue sea! / Not my usual medium, don’t usually upload photographs but couldn’t resist this one!

A love story in Capri / We are here on the wonderful Island of Capri , Italy Sitting on a terrace , this Gentleman came passing by .. a little nervous reading and re-reading some notes in his hand.. Than he came sit next to me and this his story..: He .. an 55 year old Italian widower, finally got to know a Lady from the US from Italian descent.. all via the Internet.. / ( he joined a Senior Computer class for that) Like him .. free .. a Widow 49 years of age living in Virginia ..US He went on a special course to master himself the English language ..and also had some help of his friend ‘Giuseppe’ a Taxi driver in Napoli (Naples ) who speaks a few words of English Evenmore,Giuseppe has an English dictionary ( a real big help :-) !! ) To be honest , he told me , English is not easy and often he guessed what she was talking about in her emails .. oh dear.. One thing was for sure: Today she would arrive by boat from Naples to Capri and meet him… How they would recognise each other ?? he had asked and she said (in his words!) if it rains bring an umbrella and wear Blue and Red .. And so he did .. not himself in those colours .. but he bought a blue -red umbrella .. See here Folks .. a love Story in Capri ! Is it the truth ?? / No.. all ‘beloni ’ I am ..sorry .. {_*} but sometimes we see people passing by and than our mind – fantasy takes over.. So.. have to say sorry.. no romance but all the other is true .. / I made some snapshots of people passing by .. sipping a beer CAPRI IS A PARADISE.. SO BEAUTIFULL!!! Shooting with my new Canon 40D .. / my Canon lens 70-300 DO IS USM ISO 100 / F 8 / Focal length 200 / Exposure 1/60 I choosed here ‘Spot ’ measuring , for a situation of strong lights and shadow .. Folks.. dream love and live on Capri Near Naples in Italy / One of my Cruise stops with the NCL lines and the ship called: Norwegian Jade, we left Barcelona on May 2 ..via the Med to end in Rotterdam on May16 / / Sometimes we can suddenly float on a cloud..that is what Capri does to you when set foot on the Island.. / Capri is .. listening to the Music of PucciniO mio babbino caro / Capri is drinking bubbling Champagne / Capri is being kissed 3x ; by a VERY Charming Lady .. happened to me last Friday .. innocent .. sure.. / due to my Birthday and sharing a good glass of wine .. / A child going to Church and thinks its in heaven for a while.. / On Capri the birds sing various songs. Go and check for yourselves.. Forget the world for some time.. / Forgive my rambling on.. but it is Capri still in my system/circulation Folks.. Taken on September 27, 2008 with an Olympus FE-220 looking up. During our Southern Italy Trip we stayed in Paestum, and on each day took the coach bus for one day trips in another city. On this day we got dropped off to take a ferry to Capri. During the ferry ride we pass by a lot of mountainous islands, and the cities are built upon them. It is fascinating to see these buildings as though they are stacked upon one another.
