Day 3 – Fishing trawler the Weskus I (West Coast 1) ran aground in a storm on Thursday 31 July 2008 just beyond Big Bay between Table View and Melkbosstrand, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. Fortunately no lives were lost.

False Bay in Fish Hoek on the Eastern coast of the peninsula of the Western Cape, near Cape Town, South Africa. I’ve deliberately been excluding man-made objects from the majority of my landscapes. I’ve been contemplating a new theme for my pictures… for now I’ll start including more man-made structures in my sea- and landscapes. I’m also enjoying DCE tools HDR of late. I appreciate any honest crit, please dont hesitate to point out what you dont like.

Fish Hoek, Western Cape Province, near Cape Town, South Africa. I guess the point of continually shooting these setting-sun blurry-water landscapes is to learn and improve your skill as a photographer. The fact is, I enjoy shooting them so much, that I just cant stop myself! I do think that I learn from each image though, mine and my fellow Bubblers. Plus no time spent post-processing in Photoshop is wasted. Avanté!

You guessed it! Fish Hoek beach in the Western Cape of South Africa :)+) I’m lucky enough to be able to commute to work by train. (SA does not have an extensive commuter rail system.) The tracks run along the shore of the Cape peninsula for the first 15 minutes of my journey, before snaking inland. It’s whale season here at the moment, and I frequently spot Southern Right wales during my daily commute, pretty special I think!
