  • Blood Life Spills O'er Canvas of Death
    by Symmetry44

Tyrant is s/he, labor resounds / Stroke by stroke morbidity reaps

This poem was written several years ago. It pertains to the artist and the torment many artists can face when trying to create “the perfect piece of art.” / To give so much of oneself for such a selfless cause is very telling of each of us who indulge in such tumultuous undertakings all too often, but in the end, more times than not, it is more than worth the effort. / This was written under the guise that art is an endeavor of blood, sweat and tears, therefore please try and read it in the vein that as we give our hearts, minds and souls in order to create the art that others can and hopefully will relate to in some light, so too seek our own in having done so. It just seems to fit so nicely on this site with all the great art and artists who work so hard to create the beautiful artwork we are privileged to see. Enjoy…

Thank you for this feature ‘Masterpieces: Literary Workshop’ Group… / ...the same group of rowdy kids who’d hurled raw eggs on me and my paintings came-up and one of them, sounding more jeering than informing me with any sympathy, said to me that “there’s been a great earthquake and a giant tidal wave in India today…I seemed to have lost my ground and I panicked…worried more about my kids and my family back in India… The rest is history… Tsunami had struck…the TV said….. ...In October 2004 while I was staying at Dr. R.S.
