I no longer have the original painting of Girl on Red Wall She was purchased by a doctor and his wife who were friends of mine up on the sunshine coast (australia) I hope she’s happy wherever she is …. I unpacked my art from kinder, smudges that are dragons, pink swiggly bits that are people. 20 years later and I still see the dragon, and the people.   Ok, so I’ve been busy today after all of you tolerating a sleepless night and influx of old work on RB. Anyway, after yelling at my friend for ringing me at 11:30am – she doesnt’ understand the hours we artists keep I got started on my painting for the Prestigious Cossack Award… which is in about 10 days time. So, here are the first stages, nothing to rave about yet, let’s hope this artwork develops accordingly! Cheers for now, / Carmen / . / The painting in stage 1 … ok, so I have done an hours work and you think it looks lousy…hehe! Stage 2…3…4… your choice… about 7 layers have been added. Now it’s starting to get somewhere. Still have 3 days of work till salvation (I hope)! / Ok guys, so lets see, its taken at least another 3 days to get this far. Do you realize how many layers of paitn that is. I’ve deliberately shot this in the worst light (sadly the same light I work in) and won’t be posting the final version till I can properly photograph it in the light of day that I hope the judges will view it in. I’m entering this into the “Painting, Northe West Landscape, Oil or Acrylic, Rio Tinto” Category. If any of you are familiar with the Cossack award and can recommend a better category form me please speak now or forever hold your piece/peace!

  I have bought 6 HUGE canvases measuring 40” x 30” and I need to try these out really bad…the problem is..what do I paint? / I really want to do a seascape on one of them,but feel I am not up to scratch with them at all and really need some guideance. / All ideas are welcome..but please don’t ask me to do buildings..not my forte and look real crap..lol! / If anybody has any ideas please suggest something really cool….Please!

  Diesel on Decks – The Art Piece / ...

  Diesel on Decks – The Art Piece / - This is my favourite design to date and, as I was rummaging through the house the other day I stumbled across an acrylic paint set. / So I popped down the shop, purchased some 45×60 canvas’ and decided it was time to convert my art from digital to reality. I decided to take some photos of the process and as it stands, I believe I am 1/4 of the way through. Enjoy. —-—-—-—-- / To start, I hopped into Photoshop and made my canvas the same size as the ‘real’ canvas. In this case, 45cm x 60cm, with 300dpi. Then I dragged my vector image across and resized it to fit the Photoshop canvas. Unfortunately I don’t have a massive printer, so I printed the image across 4 pieces of paper, (there was a little bit of the image missing on each page) aligning each page with the reference corner; eg. top left image on the page aligns with top left corner, bottom right aligns to bottom right corner etc. Then, I printed a colour version of the center image, where most of the ‘action’ happens. I will use this image for colour reference, and also tracing later on. Then came the question of how to get that design onto the canvas. Remembering back to primary school, I used a highly advanced technique (WARNING – NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED) called…...TRACING. Told you it was advanced! I coloured the back of the main colour image, and then, using my 4 pages as a guide, I traced the image directly onto the canvas. Ooooooh! Then I posed for this really cool shot. Then next bit was to get my paints out and start colouring in the areas. Even though I will later cover over the edges with thick black outlines, I wanted to be as neat as possible and take my time on this artwork. I tend to usually rush things in real life so it was a good test! When I paint, I have a habit of pouring out way too much paint then I need. Today was no different. I’m sure I will learn to perfect this wasting technique as the days go on. I was drawing/painting for about 2 hours and I’m quite proud of how far I have got already. I’m also very happy with where it is going, and it may not look like much in the final drawing SO FAR, but in my opinion it’s on track! I’m not sure how long it will take to finish it, probably another 4 days when I get the time, but I will put up another Journal entry asap!   So it’s day two here at the Diesel on Decks Dome and things are electric. The crowd is awaiting in anticipation for the next instalment…

  So it’s day two here at the Diesel on Decks Dome and things are electric. The crowd is awaiting in anticipation for the next instalment of the Painted Diesel – wondering can he match this digital version of Diesel on Decks > / - and now, we cross live to Diesel, down by the action… Yes Hi Diesel, it’s Diesel here and wow, things are screaming along. The Acrylics have been warming up for a while now, while the Canvas has been deep in serious thought…not sure how things went on in earlier conversation, but if you missed the previous round of Painting Diesel On Decks, you can view it HERE - Wait, Diesel, I’m getting word that they are about to start Painting again – yes, the Acrylics are going head to head with Canvas right now – HERE WE GO! OOH… YES… WOW! OH WHAT A DAY! —-—-—-— Here we can see the HIGHLIGHTS of day two, and if I must say so myself, there was some serious focus, and steady hands put into this effort. Here is Diesel taking hold of the brush and working with the extra ‘shading’ layers on ‘Diesel’. Diesel was aiming to stick with just painting ‘Diesel’ but he boldly chose to venture out and paint the speakers early…a tactic that seemed to pay off. Working heavily with the ‘shading’: He applies it in great detail and almost perfect precision. Amazing. From recent interviews we learned that he decided not to join the colours as the Thick Black Outline would cover up that. Simply breathe-taking excuse. Ground Zero was left in quite a state for day 2. Oooh and the final outcome, not quite GOLD-worthy yet, but in time I am sure it will resonate beautifully with the judges. We asked Diesel what he thought of the painting so far… Well that about wraps up day 2’s highlights, plenty of action down here, back to you in the studio. Thanks Diesel, I am sure within the next few days he will be able to complete this journey and receive a GOLD for his work…he’s got my vote.   Hello All…. I just recently joined Red Bubble and I must say WOW! Lots of talent here! It is quite inspiring…. I try to paint every day….it’s the first thing I think of when I open my eyes in the morning…what a wonderful gift it is, to be able to create… The best part of painting for me is that I never have a plan….I just start mixing colors and the brush takes over! So I am always surprised with the final outcome… I also stretch my own canvas, I cut the frames, staple them together and stretch the canvas over them….this way I can make any size I want.

Cancer is like a virus program which infect Internet computers and spreads on and on with time; if not stopped by a effective Anti Virus software it will make your computer to infect completely and make it useless for you and it will also spread to other healthy computers on the Internet as the data travels to other computer on the Internet and will keep infecting. In a similar way if Cancer cells not killed by the body it will pass on from one organ in the body of a person to another organ and keep spreading and person will die eventually after spending $20,000 to $5 Millions and relatives become so sad fro untimely demise. This article addresses more preventive side of Cancer and change of life style to live longer and happy. Why do People have Cancer? Cancer is more pronounced in developed countries unlike poorer countries. / The reason is that the people is developed countries have a different complex lifestyle -use Mobile Phones, Microwave emitting electromagnetic radiation which causes Cancer, Fridges and eat 4 times out of date old meat with high level of toxic preservatives and people in poor countries eat one meal but fresh food and relatively simpler lifestyle. This makes developed country people over eat the large quantity of meat; coupled with sedentary life style like commuting with cars; watching TV, Channels and become obese quickly. / There is also a mad cow decease which is also incurable. I witnessed an alarming incident as a 10 year kid, the scenario was that a cow which was being sold to a man (butcher) and to my amazement the cow started making horrible sounds and jumping; as she recognized that this butcher will purchase her; and she will be killed by the butcher. So you can see that in agitated mental state animal ( Cow) also secrete the toxic enzymes when they know they are going to die and lead to mad cow decease.
