Hand painted section of a plank, nailed to a pillar in a Mexican style Cantina in Fremantle. I love the reds and golds of the decor.
Size: 70×80 cm Crayons, watercolours, acrylics, scissors, glue, 3 lightbuls, THC, patience and Photoshop. Thanks to my amazing hubbie for the inspiration. This would have never come to my mind without him and the way he tells me things. And a couple of beers. And Clint Eastwood. And the Wild West !!!! Go figure.

In a sleepy backlighted street in San Jose Del Cabo, while walking to a parking place, this eerie, yet brightly colored bistro appeared out of nowhere.
This is a kinda belly dancing alien babe – who when I finished her I thought looked as though she may do well if she auditioned for a position as a dancer in the Star wars Cantina. :)
While driving through West Texas we wound up in El Paso… it’s not even summer and the temperature is close to one hundred degrees at sundown. With the air conditioner out in the old Camero, it felt like one-twenty. We needed a drink, and fast. Along comes this cantina which looked like an oasis in the baking sun… not a good part of town but what the hell, I’ve seen worse. Getting out of the car, the parking lot smelled like urine and beer… my kinda place. The bars on the door, the broken down vehicles on the street, and Mexican locals looking at us sideways, this was going to be fun. Inside it was dark and even hotter than outside, I guess they don’t use the air conditioning until it gets really hot. We sit at the bar and order two tequila shots and a couple of beers and it tasted like a piece of heaven in this purgatory town.
i was semi~lost and came upon this colorful building in Burlington, North Carolina
Ten people are relaxing at a beach side cantina. They are enjoying the last rays of pleasantly warm sunshine. As the sun slowly sinks into the ocean, four guitar playing musicians serenading them with sweet nothings.
