Deb. has visited my albums on Webshots, and has encouraged me for years with her guestbooks, and comments. We finally had a chance to met in person this year, (2008) and we had a blast! Or at least I did, I am not so sure just what she thought of this, Ol’ Redneck Country Girl, HillJilly, Hillbillie / from Arkansas. lol! / I remember the days using these old stove to heat the house! / Deb is a Virginian transplant that now lives in Florida, and her heart will always be in those hills of Virgina! / / You can take the girl out of the country, but ya cant take the country out of the girl! This old pop bellied stove is just one of the many creations, and decorative wonders around her home. I love her, and her country style! This is dedicated to you Deb with much love. Hugs! Carolyn.

This came about because i was sketching and colouring in Corel Painter using pencils, i copied this image from one i had seen. As it developed i kept thinking she was trying to connect with someone, so i then imagined she was of the spirit world and was going about her day and waving to all she once knew…..but of course they were unaware of her presence….......i like to think its so …....... i added texture and layers also took it into photoshop …...................

This is one of 11 puppies born to our bitch Bailey last year. She is one of two that we have decided to keep. / From the moment she was born she would squeel like a piglet so she has been neamed pig. Not that she knows it…She is deaf it seems. Apparently it is not unusual for Dalmations to be deaf and as her daddy is a dalmation the vet thinks that she has probably inherited this trait from him. Even so she is such a sweetheart. She plays with her sister and the other animals including ketten, dogs and horses. Although she doesnt hear me call her she always seems to know that I am looking for her. She watches the other dogs to see what they are up to and will follow them when they are called to dinner or sent to bed. / Pig likes to eat, play and sleep… and sleep and sleep…. especailly if it is a lovely day she will slip under the trees in the shade and snoozes most of the afternoon. My work has been accepted for the 2009 Silvershotz folio!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for your support everyone! I’m just totally gobsmacked….now I have to prepare the images, AND organise an artists statement….(that’s the hardest part). The images I submitted were mostly from the Study of scars and aging skin that you’ll find on my halftone arty farty portfolio, although the one that will probably get pride of place in the publication is Lean on me, an image of TextureoftheSin and ~Ademac. Thanks so much you two!!!! The magazine will be sent to 1200 galleries and museums around the world! How exciting!!!! I’d just like to extend personal thanks to Kristi for telling me about Silvershotz a couple of years ago, Pilgrim for loving my halftone work, to Paul for his constant support and encouragement (and modelling!), and finally a huge thanks to John Lomas for the final nudge to complete my submission. I’d almost let it lapse…..so thanks so much guys!!! phew, feels like an emmy speech….soz!
