My 2008 Canon Photo 5 submission for the crayon category. I took a colour photo of the purple crayon pressed up against the flowers and then imported it into Photoshop. I then duplicated the layer and converted the new top layer to black and white. I then used the eraser to reveal the old colour layer for the flower, hand and crayon. I used the replace colour tool on the flower to give the flower elements of the purple from the crayon to make it look as if the crayon had drawn on the flower.

As I was waiting for the sun to set I couldn’t resist but take some shots of the reflections in the large rock pools near the point. The sunset ended up being quite average on this occasion so these shots are all I really came home with. The white clutter under the beacon is a large flock of seagulls. Taken with a Canon 400D with ND4 grad and circular polarising filters. Exposure was 8 seconds @ f22. Click here for my other seascapes
