You don’t have to be a rampant vegan animal lib militant to take up the cause against vivisection. This is a needlessly cruel UNNECESSARY practice that anyone with an ounce of humanity about them should revile from. But mumbling “that’s disgusting” isn’t going to change the situation. Declare yourself on this issue and protest where you can – even if that’s simply by raising awareness by wearing T-shirts like this one, or taking small personal actions, like boycotting products made by companies that are known to test on animals and letting them know your attiude by email or letter. And on a related issue, buy free range eggs and meat only. Battery farming is an abomination as appalling as vivisection. Besides, free range produce is far better quality.

We wear masks in order to hide ourselves, our real, flawed and wounded, selves. We try to disguise our issues, to wrap them up with pretty bows and attempt to pass ourselves off to the world as “ok”. But, I’m not ok, you’re not ok! We have all suffered wounds, and some of us don’t handle it as well as others of us do. And, the masks that we wear are not always sufficient enough to hide the tears and, in the end, become just as tearstained as our hearts have always been. All my own photos and textures used. These are my eyes…my tears…my pain.
