No-one ever thinks to look up at the windows.
The most beautiful place in the world is Brussels; a city where the medieval art is apocalyptic, and tattooed women are adored. I lived in the Sablon, the funky artists’ quarter of tiny meandering lanes and gabled houses. My home was built in the 1500s and held five crooked storeys ; my room had blood red walls and huge ivory windows that looked out over the cobblestones. I would sit for hours on end at my windowsill. My street was full of shadows and history, first listed on city maps in the 1100s and graced with both a Flemish and French name, like all streets in Brussels. Rue des Chandeliers / Kandalaarstraat was so magical that stories were delivered to my windowsill, and I spilt my ink with joy. My username comes from here: bell is from the two fourteenth century churches placed at either end of my alley, which would ring out the hours with medieval musicality. Musker is from the Flemish slang for girl, maskker ……and that was me, a dark eyed woman with joy in her heart and ink on her fingertips, watching the Flemish sky and laughing.

Glass candle sticks backlit by sunlight in a window.
I was dusting shelves today and decided to multi-task by snapping a few still-life shots while I was at it. :)
Thanks for looking!

These candlestick holders are made of mild steel and they’ve been electro-nickel plated. Future sculptures will be electroless nickel plated, a more thorough process that can cope with twisted iron(y). In the background is “Blooming Fungus, Burning Spores”, which was created in ZBrush and Photoshop then printed on canvas. The proceeds of all digital art sales go to World Vision, an organisation dedicated to looking after children in Third World countries. .... EXCEPT, while it still runs through Phoenix Appeal, these proceeds will go to the RED CROSS VICTORIAN BUSHFIRE APPEAL. Check out my web site www.twistedirony.com.
Unfortunate companions in an unexplained voyage. It seems some people aren’t happy with the kinds of provisions packed for the journey. But some people are never happy. [created February 2009]

CLUE The Characters / There are six characters in the game of Clue. Mrs. Peacock is blue. She is an older lady who is prim and proper. You can picture her as a high society kind of gal. Next is Colonel Mustard. You might have guessed that Colonel Mustard is yellow. He is a former military man who knows how to be on the hunt. He too is elderly. Miss Scarlet is red. She is a younger lady and very beautiful. Miss Scarlet is an actress, but not a famous one. She isn’t very smart and relies on her looks to get what she wants. Character number four is Professor Plum, who is purple. He is a middle-aged archaeologist who carries his wits about him. Character number five is Mr. Green. He is a very greedy man whose love of money has led him to participate in some shady deals. He is rumored to have ties with the mafia. Finally, we have Mrs. White. She is, obviously, white. Mrs. White is a maid and she is more elderly than middle aged. She has often been called lazy and is thought to be color blind. The Rooms / There are nine rooms in the game of clue. Each one is represented on the game board and has various doors for entering and exiting. The rooms are the Lounge, Dining Room, Hall, Kitchen, Study, Conservatory, Library, Ballroom, and Billiard Room. / / The Weapons / The game of clue comes equipped with six weapons. There is the standard knife, gun, candlestick, rope, wrench, and the lead pipe. Each one has an equal chance of being the murder weapon. In newer games, you can find some new weapons, including the dumbbell, some poison, and a trophy.
