A bit of candles and stars, / golden ropes little tree looks full and bright / Stands out in the night. A Bmail from Owkspook I know none of us have more time to spare for new groups and projects .. (grin) ... just had a flash idea and a poem to share … what if there was a group who were given a poem to illustrate to complement with a bit of our art (ok close would be Adawg (grin)) ... however I’m not suggesting there should be or must be .. but for the fun of it go along with me (big smile) ... and if you were given this poem what would you create? (big smile) / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- little tree / little silent Christmas tree / you are so little / you are more like a flower / who found you in the green forest / and were you very sorry to come away? / see i will comfort you / because you smell so sweetly / i will kiss your cool bark / and hug you safe and tight / just as your mother would, / only don’t be afraid / look the spangles / that sleep all the year in a dark box / dreaming of being taken out and allowed to shine, / the balls the chains red and gold the fluffy threads, / put up your little arms / and i’ll give them all to you to hold / every finger shall have its ring / and there won’t a single place dark or unhappy / then when you’re quite dressed / you’ll stand in the window for everyone to see / and how they’ll stare! / oh but you’ll be very proud / and my little sister and i will take hands / and looking up at our beautiful tree / we’ll dance and sing / “Noel Noel” —Little Tree by E. A very old Pub in Cork it was one of the few Brewery Houses in the city for a long time, situated as it is across the road from the Beamish & Crawford Brewery on South Main Street / Old style pub, great music , lovely snug and a good pint. / Can’t be faulted really…

Something a little different. / Got the best china out to do this. A nice refreshing cup of Green Tea with a hint of Lemon. / Taken in my back yard with a Pentax K200D, with a Sigma 28-300mm and a +4 Omax Close Up Lens attached. Hope you like it. / Thanks for looking. Best Viewed Large.

Mixed Media on canvas 23” x 33” / 60cm x 85cm. April 2009. / Acrylic, Oil, Candle Smoke (fumage) and Charcoal. / Scratching back was done with a finger nail or 10.. Highly spontaneous. Let me know if you can think of a better title. / Guess this is very busy and a bit messy but what a fun process, probably not a great success.. :-D /
