Arches in Rivington Castle Rivington Lancashire England
As I was taking in the beauty of this Cali Lilly. I thought that the lighting was perfect to cast a shadow of the stamen inside. Natures way of lighting up the world.
A pen and ink drawing that I did in 2001. It burst out of me in one sitting, without any pencil sketching first, and has remained a personal favourite. I revisited it a couple of years ago in photoshop, cleaned him up a bit, and coloured him. I believe he is my ‘guide’, the protector of my creative energy.
This is an original linoleum print from my Holiday Series. It was created for my annual Christmas card. It was a fairly obvious attempt to illustrate the universal appeal of hope and peace during the holidays.
This is the continuation of my Judaica series. According to Jewish tradition, the Sabbath starts on Friday evening. The woman of the house ushers it in by lighting two Sabbath candles and saying a blessing over them. This is a multi-award winning painting. Acrylic on canvas 24×36 inches
Glowing candle with misty daisies.

This is my entry into the Canon Photo5 comp for the tealight candle…a bit silly, but it was all I could come up with!
Inspired by Raymond Chandler detective novels: “I saw her leave her apartment, easy on the eyes, all right, and all the right curves in all the right places, and she spotted me; she’s still steamed about being protected, they all are until they really need it. Even so, she put a little extra shimmy in her walk – reminded me of two kittens wrestling under a blanket – on this case the clues were getting harder to find than a black candle at midnight…” / (this whole scene came from a phrase I read somewhere ages ago, the kittens wrestling isn’t mine, and grew into this image…)
All eyes on the calendar / Another year I claim of total indifference / To here, the days pile up / With decisions to be made / I’m sure all of them were wrong -bright eyes self portrait montage
