An early morning walk through Civic.
Down at my local pond as the sun tips over the horizon, it’s always a marvellous sight.
Along the Cotter Road in Canberra, I was driving and saw a white horse up on a hill. Being a nice backdrop, I decided to stop and take a picture or two. My presence piqued his curiosity and over the next 5 minutes he made his way over to the fence where I was standing and even allowed me to pat him!
Captured during a late summer storm in the southern suburbs of Canberra, Australia.

Straight from the ‘duck walk’. One of the ducks from the Pied Piper duck fashion parade at Floriade 2008. Taken at Floriade, Canberra, ACT, Australia. Taken using a Nikon D40x with an 18-200mm VR lens. The background has been blurred to bring the subject out more – these ducks were surprisingly hard to shoot…who would’ve thought that they could waddle so fast? Models! =P
