  • This is an old picture of canary wharf taken when it first opened from the North side of the Thames.

  • Shot up at Canary Wharf in London, taken on film.

  • Captured at the Botanic Gardens in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight. I have now discovered the name of this plant. It’s amazing what a phone call to Ventnor can do. / It’s bi-annual from the Canary Islands aand grows up to 12 feet tall.

  • The sky turned golden just after the sun came up. Looking towards London from Richmond Park just after 6:00 on an April morning, you can clearly see the Canary Wharf building, and to the left the chimneys of Battersea power station. Canon EOS 450D.

  • I was first drawn to this gorgeous big red bow in a magazine…i pictured a beautiful big blue-eyed girl wearing it in her hair…and the rest of the painting basically created itself. The canary flew in…and the yellow canary snake decided to follow it… I’ve always loved snakes – and this Yellow Canary Snake (otherwise known as the Kofiau Island Chondro) is a particularly special one. They are from the island of Kofiau off the west coast of Papua New Guinea (via John Berry Reptiles) and they are quite rare to find! / ORIGINAL IS SOLD – Prints now available.

  • From Wikipedia Canary Wharf is a large business and shopping development in East London, located in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, centred on the old West India Docks in the London Docklands. Rivalling London’s traditional financial centre, The Square Mile, Canary Wharf contains the UK’s three tallest buildings: One Canada Square (sometimes known as the Canary Wharf Tower) at 235.1 m (774 ft); followed by 8 Canada Square and the Citigroup Centre, both at 199.5 m (654 ft).

  • Take flight little lady!

  • During a trip around the island of Gran Canaria (October 2009), we visited a beautiful old church in Teror, a picturesque village. The play of light through the dome of the church was very beautiful! Camera: Canon Powershot SX3 IS – no flash used!

  • I remember Canary Wharf going up in the eighties and being half full for some time. In the Nineties I commuted into London and could see it clearly in Docklands dominating the skyline. It’s still for me an iconic building despite being joined by two others of a similar size. You might not like the architecture but there is no denying this is an impressive sight.
