January 29, 1944 / Returning from a raid on the Frankfurt marshalling yards. Flak was especially heavy and accurate, saw several ships peel out of formation with extensive damage. 2 ships collided during a head-on ME-109 attack, counted only 7 chutes. We’re heading home into a beautiful golden sunset, the ship directly in front of us has left wing damage and it’s landing gear partially torn off. It’s gonna be a rough one for them … Lead is just turning right to indicate final approach, looks like we made it through another one.

A compilation of 12 photos taken around the Okanogan Valley and put together in Photoshop CS . / There is a Pheasant, a Rabbit, two Ravens, two Geese, five Seagulls, a Golden Eagle, a number of Mud Hens and the CN Tugboat in the piece so far. I also added the moon into this piece from an earlier photo.
