This was taken with my canon A610. I was at Miner Garden’s in Canada. I was able to stand at the top of a waterfall that was displaying these beautiful flowers off to the side.

Shad Bay, Nova Scotia. A beautiful accurate impression of the Nova Scotia Coast line. Ocean, rocks, waves, and fog. Its not always like this, but when taking pictures you can never predict what you will get.
On Canada Day I was waiting for the fireworks. These young fellows took to the sea. I tried a timed exposure and I think it came out nicely. You can actually see motion. That is a swan in the background.
A swan, next to a warf, at dusk, with and empy stone bench waiting for a young man to pop “the question” to a young woman. Maybe, maybe not.

A wonderfal little brook that runs through Bedford, Nova Scotia. I like this in black and white, mainly because of the different textures and contrasts.

The north shore of Nova Scotia, Canada, borders on Northumberland Strait, which separates Nova Scotia from Prince Edward Island. The highway which traverses this area is Route 6, otherwise known as the “Sunrise Trail”, because of the coastline facing in a general north-easterly direction. The road runs from Pictou to Amherst, and along the way are many lovely beaches, warm water, and numerous small villages, most of them devoted to fishing. A typical one is Toney River, with it’s small protected harbour and array of lobster boats. July 26, 2007, Sony DSCF828 camera.

A stranger sits so calmly on the dock of this mountain lake, soaking in the sights. A beautiful and warm day to clear the mind of all that ails you.

In Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada, some of the most beautiful places to see are Maligne Lake, Maligne Canyon, and Medicine Lake. They’re quite close together so can visited in a day from the town of Jasper. The Maligne Canyon contains waterfalls, potholes, underground stream outlets, bird nests and amazing lush plant life.Though only about 2 metres across in some places, the churning waters of the Maligne River have worn the canyon to a depth of more than 50 metres. / The canyon is carved into a layer of limestone deposited in a shallow tropical sea about 365-million years ago.The layers of stone can be clearly seen in the canyon walls. Parts of the canyon may have been deep caves, since uncovered by glacial scraping and water erosion. / The narrow and deep walls make photography a bit of a challenge, but the many lovely colours and rock formations make the effort well worthwhile. / Sept. 4, 2009, / Sony DSCF828 camera. /
