Even the most ordinary places can look like magic…
Kick back & relax on the deck, watching the sun set.

taken outside of West Montrose, ON. I often roam the backroads of Mennonite country looking for scenes just like this. Barn cats are quite plentiful. The average farm may have 15-20 in plain view, and likely more hiding.
This is my first encounter with a doe at the first sign of spring, after a long winter and she is ready to be air “born”. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park
River and I saw this old general store on the old highway 512 just east of Killaloe, Ontario in a sunny spring day!
This is a little park along the old highway 60 in Combermere (Ontario, Canada) bathed at the last brilliant sunlight of the day!
There was this long stretched wooden fence along a dirt road, looking as though it was protecting the vast forests from “human intruders” – people were “locked in” with their highways and their houses while the forests were “out there” enjoying their life with animals. :) :) :)
I saw these wonderful log houses along a dirt road in Golden Lake (Ontario, Canada).
This is one of my favorite farms houses.
Wilno is Canada’s first Polish settlement. They call the region “God’s Country” because of its rolling hills, vast forests and wonderful streams, rivers and lakes. You feel as though you were closer or “with” God when you are there. :) This is a sunrise in “God’s Country”.
In the middle of nowhere deep in the woods, there was this huge barn/farm house – I thought River and I could live there in order to be among our friends the wolves. :)
I thought this was really pretty just under the first ray of morning light. :)
the Castle Falls was nice enough to stay. water was freezing tho. great place for fishing and family day.
A small island is standing on the lake in the misty morning.
these are pics of the sky and nature that i took
Cedar trees line the shores of a peaceful backwater. This image was captured in Ferris Provincial Park on the Trent River, just below Ranney Falls outside of Campbellford, Ontario, Canada.
HDR photo of one of the many waterfalls at Waterford, New Brunswick, Canada. From Sussex, head east on Main Street toward Sussex Corner; continue on Needle Street; continue on Dutch Valley Road; continue on Waterford Road. About 10 minutes from Sussex. The calm waters of a small lake, surrounded by pine forest, reflects the brilliant blue of the sky above. This image was captured from beside the swimming area in Rainbow Falls Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. Captured with a Canon Rebel XSi with an 18-55mm lens. The lake is actually little more than a widening in the Whitesand River before it plunges into the gorge of Rainbow Falls (just to the left of the picture, and the reason for the safety rope)
A male mute swan, swimming in a pond of rippling, blue water, seems to create an aura of peace and serenity with his simple presence. Captured in Lynde Shores Conservation Area, in Whitby, Ontario, Canada, with a Canon Rebel XS using an 18-55mm lens.
