I am most proud of this shot so far in my short time doing photography. This image incorporates my passionate nature with my love of the ocean. I used to lobster fish with my Dad and so the ocean holds a lot of dear, and not so dear LOL, memories for me. I almost froze my hands off doing this. It was snowing a little while before I took this shot so you can imagine close to the water, with a breeze, how cold it was. However, in the name of love and romance, anything goes! LOL

This is an image of my brother-in-law’s dog, Buzz, blended into a sunset over Long Cove only about a half a mile away from his home in West Pennant, Nova Scotia, Canada. Buzz is a Springer Spaniel and a sweetheart of a dog. Everyone loves Buzz. For those who may be curious, Buzz is still alive and kickin’! This is the Father of the singer in my band, Under Pressure. The band was invited to the singer’s family reunion and I took this shot of her Father while he was playing on their front porch. This was my favorite shot from that day. “Stop Pickin’ On Me” has been featured in the Country Bumpkin group twice, the Happy Haven group , the B&W – Character – People Shots group and Portraits in Natural Light group. The fall colours in Nova Scotia can be so beautiful. This picture was taken from a spot in West Pennant called Hospital Hill. Hospital Hill is a couple of miles back in the woods but well worth the hike! When you climb to the top of the hill the views are spectacular, ocean in one direction and hills in the other.

Peggy’s Cove is one of the most photographed locations in the world located in Nova Scotia, Canada. This tiny inlet boasts some spectacular scenery including huge glacial rocks, a tiny village of 40 inhabitants, and particularly the lighthouse. / The crashing Atlantic Ocean surf on these lovely rocks is fabulous.

This is in Nova Scotia Canada .. not far from where I used to live growing up right on the Atlantic ocean ….a foggy day when I was there but thats not unusal lol …... I just love it here .. can you imagine the inspiration you could get there ? !

This year marks the 250th anniversary of the Sambro Island Lighthouse. Families, including cousins of mine used to live on the island all year round. There were two homes which are still standing, but barely. I believe the building you are seeing in this shot is where the families kept their supplies and storage. The island is said to be haunted by a man. I was quite disappointed to not have felt or seen something eerie while I was there. There is also a spot which looks to be carved out of the rocks on the island called the “Devil’s Footprints” The story goes that the devil walks up out of the water and walks up the rocks to the island. What the devil would want with a lighthouse I have no idea, but that is what I was told. The rock pattern is very odd though and quite something to see. The lighthouse is now run by solar panels and no human hands are needed. Even the fog horn is run by a machine that detects fog. Even though I did not see or feel a ghost, the island has a very lonely feel to it, an abandoned and sad spot. I couldn’t imagine being there alone….no, I just could not!
